It's about time microsoft pulled thier head out of the sand and retaliated to the pirates, because half the reason the bloody software costs so much in the first place is due to theft , and piracy of code etc pushing up the price to try and cut thier loses I am certainly not worried as all my software is legit, i am in design so all my software is tax deductuedable anyways lol. being the owner of an awesome pc , and also being an avid reader and subscriber of many many computer magazines , i have to say the guys who wrote this guide are not selecting the best possible set ups , especially the god box , i am not trying to be harsh or anything it's just i don't like to see people led astray by wrong information , eg : the RAM they suggested is no where near the best available , same goes for the choice of motherboard , plus don't point out which ones will work best with
Umm thats not all together true mate , as i installed the vista blinds version 5.50 (build 89 x86 - Vista Edition , and proceeded to reboot , and after it restarted i still found that trying to apply a skin only skinned the pc in windows classic ( YUCK!!) the only way i have thus far found around this is to restart the pc each time after i apply a skin , plus have the override default settings set to use the task bar and start menu of the skin i just applied. Any other way will not
I got a tell you from the point of view of someone trying to learn to skin , it is a hell of a lot harder to make skins now then it was say back in the builder blinds days , oh sure it's great for the people who have been skinning since the very first evolution of windowblinds , i mean as this software was updated , it was easy fro the skinners to learn to adapt to the new content and ways of doing things etc ... because they simply knew the older stuf
