C Y G N U S Just posted my first map for Sins. It is a medium 3 v 3 tournament map designed for teamplay. Aside from a few exceptions resources and hazards are random forcing players to adapt and work togeather. Pirates remain a constant threat to the system but offer wealth and several key tactical positions. Oops forgot a few things... Performance - Remove individual ship destination lines when using fleet selection (In larger fleets this cripples performance just by selecting units and or telling them where to move or what to attack) Especially when using qued movement points and or with allies. Reduce this to one line for each fleet. Fleet formation and position circles should still be fine but reducing the lines in a fleet can certainly speed things up on the performance side of thin

I think there is a fleet ungroup bug relating to ungrouping of units in a fleet while using shift to que up attacks or movement while some ships in the fleet are in the middle of a jump and still on route to destination. I haven't quite put my finger on it but I think this is what is causing it. I'll catch it eventually. Is there a quick way to ungroup fleets with keyboard mouse combo I may be clicking by accident while shift clicking around?

It's a love hate relationship for me. Sometimes you need your ships somewhere else so it is just easier to buy them off. However sometimes you are up against some pretty wealthy AI and they will spend thousands to make sure you have to deal with that fleet at just the wrong moment. The Pirate base is still worth taking for extra income but early on that is just not possible. So far it seems balanced quite well. I love the bullet hole in the console glass once they are removed :CONGRAT:

As much as it would seem usefull I could not place structures on the z axis at all. Also camera control gets a bit flaky when dealing with fleets at the top or bottom of the z. I do however sentry units on the z some times so I do use the function.

The bloom effect is pretty minimal in Sins but off by default. I'm not really a big fan of bloom in many games. Uses too much overhead for what is usually a waste of resources. Even a suttle bloom effect is usually too costly but it's all the rage lately. No pun intended...
