Thats true. I should have laid a disclamier. Lets all assume the starbase has a way to engange any vessel within its phase jump prohibiting range.

There are many of us that argue to have a phase inhibitor on the grounds that it would force the engagement of starbases. But there seem to be just as many that don't want it. But i fear i must discredit many of those who are against it for their basis of their arguement is that their are tactical structures for this. Ok as for the collecting resources from the destroyed ships Vasari can do that for the most part. And really if you think about it when a ship is destroyed its final death throws are its explosive decompression shattering it from the inside out so what would there be left to collect? We have a thinker! first the varsari starbase can launch an asteriod at a planet. My biggest issue which everyone can agree on is adding a phase jump inhibitor so great that you have to take on the star base. Or have it not so great and make the star base moveable. As for making them move space lanes? I think not and if so only for Vasari because they mastered phase space long ago and then only an upgradeable option.
