If you're still not seeing the update after restarting the Steam client (make sure right-click on Properties / Updates / Automatic updates is set to Always keep this game up to date), you can use the 'Verify integrity of game cache...' button on Properties / Lo

You do not need to rebuy the base sins, it's registered on your account (along with the 2 expansions). You can download the full updated base game from Impulse, but what's it saying when you try and update off retail?

ArcaVir is giving a false positive, it's reproducible with their online scanner. I've emailed their support people to let them know. Feel free to run the setup program through http://www.virustotal.com for piece of mind. It'll scan it with 41 different scanners. Kris

For the initial entrenchment release, uninstalling it will remove Sins as well to make sure any files leftover from earlier Sins betas are removed. The beta files initially went in Sins folders and you could only run Entrenchment. Later betas changed that so Sins and Entrenchment could be updated and run independently, but there wasn't a means to cleanup the older betas method short of uninstalling. That's impacting uninstalls of regular release Entrenchment atm until a little

godoggo, please contact support. Best guess is you ordered under a different email than your Impulse account. You don't need to buy it again, they can merge the account. There is not a new manual. Kris

We try and release at ~1pm EST whenever possible. Not 100%, but more likely than any other hour of the day. To attempt to make sure there aren't potential problems for people who had earlier betas and didn't uninstall for beta3, everyone with an Entrenchment beta is getting prompted to uninstall. That said... If you're 100% sure you're good from the beta 3 update and want to try and get just the Entrenchment files (and the 1.15 update), delete your beta Sins of a Solar

Remove c:\programdata\ironclad games\sins of a solar empire\license\sig.bin on Vista. Or the corresponding version on XP under Documents & Settings\All Users\Application Data\Ironclad Games.... etc. Kris

Don't try and verify the build. I had to do "things" to try and make it as happy as possible for people who had the previous betas and that's something that it's not happy with atm. If you did run verify for some reason, run the sinsentrench_post2.exe file. It'll delete the 2 files that the EXE is keying on to see that you had uninstalled.

The pre-orders are being charged. This will take a couple of hours (based on past experiences). As they go through, you'll get an email receipt and be able to use Impulse to download. It'll just show up as a new item when you logon to Impulse.

I built the standalone installer before all the SDC/Impulse builds were published to the public, so it just claims it's 1.04 vs the 1.04.022 revision the servers used for SDC and the like on release. I'll see about updating that tomorrow for the version key. No files different. Kris

There were lots of little files for the 1.04 update. Getting them all down as fast as possible for the 1.04 update was less than pleased on some (but not all) machines. If it was happy and you were able to play like online like Hollow Man, it's fine, shouldn't need to worry about it. Use the standalone update or SDC if appropriate for tonight. Link above in post #1. If you got the sig.bin back via email, following Blair's directions for where to save it should get you fixed up for the weekend. Kris
