One element that I always thought was conspicuously absent in GalCiv space battles/warfare, was the ability to board and capture ships or conversely, defending ones' own ships by repelling alien "boarders". Once captured, ships and their tech, could be studied, adopted pr sold to raise cash for other things. This option could be turned on or off at the beginning of the game for those not interested in the tactical level of combat. But I for one would relish this feature. Anyone else? &nb

Hi CariElf, Have sent you the file per your request. Thanks for your time and effort
According to my steam account it has the Retribution expansion as down loaded, right there along with all the other expansions...its just not showing up in the game menu. So I'm almost certain that it isn't a antivirus issue....
Thanks for the tips Rhonin, I tried all your suggestions and they didn't alleviate the issue/problem. I also did the local files verification, and previously enabled the "Opt-In" in the updates...every other expansion has worked fine so not sure what is causing this now. Would be nice to be able to access it.
The game in my steam account shows that the Ret. DLC has been downloaded and the game is updated; but it doesn't appear in any of the game menus. Nor can I access it or see the new images/tech etc. I've done a file verification check but nothing changes. Can anyone advise me as to why this is happening and what I can do next?
Thanks Tetleytea, and tasgilt, I did indeed invest in some pollen gathering actions and have now been able to promote some admins, gotta say that I didn't see an option to send off world when I did promote they just were used up and eliminated. But I will review further to see if I can decipher this. (BTW love your user name I am a two teabag Tetley drinker myself [e digicons]:d[/e] )
I understood the promote option which isn't available to me due to the lack of Epimetheus Pollen. My point was that the warning sign said "move your admin off world to enable more recruitment..".So they should either change the warning to PROMOTE admin if that is the only way out of this dead end :P Or allow the admins to board ships and head for other planets.
So I got about a third of the way into a new crusade game was, running first in most categories, when I suddenly got the message that I had too many idle administrators and that I need to move some of them to another planet. (presumably to free up slots) The problem is that I cannot find a way to embark them on a ship or move them off world to another, I have had no problems sending scientists, workers off world to other planets but not so Admin citizens. Exacerbating the frustration is the f
I finally fixed the problem (at least I was able to get the game back up and running & see it running). It appears that somehow the game patch had installed in to a whole new and different directory from my initial download, and then as it went through the "system testing" settled on a display resolution of 1600 x 1280 since my Vid Card could handle that it promptly re-configured my game cfg file to that res. As it happens that resolution is beyond
There is nothing posted in the download area or any kind of warning that popped up. Further there was nothing anywhere which explained what the (b) means. Only through this forum did the fact that it was a beta come to light! THERE NEEDS TO BE A BOLD WARNING ALL OVER THAT DURN DOWNLOAD FILE SO THAT PEOPLE KNOW. however, all that is beside the point, which is of course what the heck did this monster of an update do to my machine and how ca
Couple of things. First: This download started automatically when I logged on to SDC AND it didn't inform me that it was a beta, I know this because I downloaded and installed this thing twice...first time I thought I might have had a corrupted file. but it is definately a buggy patch. There should be a big warning! second: I attempted to delete and download the entire initial game again this didnt work, so then I reset my puter
