...stretching it. Yeah. Didn't think about that. A lot of games don't allow it in windows, so I forgot SoaSE did. Ok, got it fiddled with and cooperating now. Thank you!

Ok... It appears to be a bug in regards to windowed mode. I loaded it up and the game was fullscreen at the lower resolution. I then went to adjust resolution and set it to windowed and it did, right back down to the 1024x768. Wont adjust out of that, no matter what I set resolution to.
Oh, I'd much rather windowed mode, even if it's fullscreen. I multi-task a lot. It is definitely odd. (Nice to talk to ya, by the way. I've been playing and lurking on these forums since SoaSE beta, so I'm familiar with you. Just so distracted that I rarely play online, and never post!) Thank you for the note about the user.setting, didn't think about that. I'll try it before work.
The title and subtitle basically state the information. I have a new monitor installed as of today, which supports 1080i and 720p resolutions by television standards. I have it running at 1680x1050 at the moment. When I loaded up Sins to see how it would look, it was in it's window of 1028x764 (pardon if I misremember numbers) that I had it running on the old 1280x1024 monitor. When I went to adjust the resolution, the 'apply' button never lit up. It wouldn't let me cha
I could be mistaken on this, but considering that a modification for a game would not be used for commercial purposes, you could likely create a mod safely using the 'Fair Usage' clause as described by copyright law. Else all the mods out there based on Star Trek, Star Wars, Babylon 5, Battlestar Galactica, Turtledove's World War/Colonization series, etc... would be potential lawsuits waiting to happen. Just don't sell it.
Eh, playing a game with 5 medium AIs right now. They're upgrading and researching plenty, and not just fleet caps. Had a massive fleet of drone hosts with two revelation battlecruisers and a radiance assaulting one of my planets, with a small number of disciples and illuminators acting as backup. It depends on the type of AI, I think.
Well, you always have a little wasted income if the planet isn't your homeworld. Less than 100% allegiance results in some corruption.
Hah, didn't even think of starting it and doing that. Thank you.
A simple question. SDC seems to bug when trying to update programs (hangs forever on the installation portion after downloading), so where can I find the file to download beyond that? I did check the downloads section of this website, but I could not find it.
All too true. My first game I played as TEC and got myself nicely screwed over by the AI, who sent a fleet of Krosov frigates at me. Some 20 frigates tore me to shreds. Next time, I knew better. I had built up defenses on my border worlds. (Admittedly, an asteroid - Doppleganger map) So when the 20 siege frigates popped through in order to attack, they got torn up by the 3 hanger bays loaded with bombers. The asteroid got down to 100 health or so, but it didn't die. Mission accomplished
