My 2 penny's worth. I guess the best way to look at is, is flattery, but knowing how hard you worked on it, I understand, about not getting the recognition here on WC. But at least your art is getting to a wider audience. As Benmanns said different if it was a master skin.

tell you what guys here's a screenshot, just to give you an idea. http://i1283.photobucket.com/albums/a544/stackoverflow13/screenshot_final_zps34b1e211.jpg

Well frankell I got the idea from your own screenshot (as you know) with your wonderful docks, so thanks to you too for inspiration. To everyone else reading this, Brian put in so much work, with constant back & forth between ourselves. There were moments when I was convinced Brian would give up, exasperated at both what I was looking for & my constant drive for perfection & looking for errors along with my brutal comments when I didn't like something.&nbsp

Yeah dumb as a door knob, when it comes to the parts (didn't help you at all I know, hence all the screenshots). I have absolutely no knack of skinning as you well know LOL, hence me coming to you. Just have ideas in my head which before now had now way to realize them. PS I knew you'd feel that way about the previous skin I rejected LOL. Still many others liked it so that's all good. When we started this I downloaded SKS to have a look, destroyed so many

It's up to Brian now I imagine he's just tidying it up or getting some well deserved rest (from me probably LOL). I think desktopX gadgets would work well with this and/or sysmetrix, not sure. If anyone is interested happy to share a screenshot of what I run ( I use rainmeter & aida64) as I haven't found a combo of desktopX stuff that gives me the info I want, with the colours I use.

Thanks for your kind words Brian Himanshu (Desai last name) is me. It was an honour working with you (my directness/bluntness always lands me in so much trouble, but it's still the quickest way). The WB is perfect & exactly what I was hoping for. I look forward to working with you again, should the opportunity arise. I said to Brian late into the project, I work in IT & by nature am looking at my screens 12+ hours a day. I'll be looking at your work more often than I d

LOL, Don't think you read my post fully. I wasn't talking about moving to Linux. I was talking about retraining costs, & why corporates will hang onto Win7 as long as possible. So much so that it's cheaper for companies to flatten pre installed win 8 machines (or downgrade) to windows 7 ( or even buy a new win 7 licence) then it is to use Win8.

As an Enterprise CTO, frogboys comments are spot on. The cost of retraining, increase in help desk support staff etc, is one of the core reasons not to upgrade to a new OS (forget the compatibility issues for this discussion), with a whole new UI. Myself and all of my peers within the industry have no plans at all to upgrade from win 7 to win 8. In fact a great many are still transitioning from XP. Whilst Start8 is a great product for domestic use, even the thought of users

Cheers mate, actually quite happy with the calender as is minus the audio. So still trying to find a system tray docklet for x64. Having said that found a problem with OD 2.1 on dual monitor setup that crashes it completely (stardock have confirmed the bug) so have given up on OD for now.

Thanks Frankell. Had a look at your link looks spot on. However it doesn't actually show any icons on mine. Shows as loaded but is blank. When going into configure it shows tray icons as blank. Also the calender docklet that goes with it crashes OD on mine. Edit It's the audioplay.func file, once this is deleted it's ok

Here's my current desktop which I love to give you an idea, just would like taskbar trapezoid (z-axis) like objectdock does ok fixed sorry everyone v embarrassed here's the link http://i1283.photobucket.com/albums/a544/stackoverflow13/desktop_zpsa05ed1f1.jpg This on 2nd monitor http://i1283.photobucket.com/albums/a544/stackoverflow13/desktop2_zps73d369

Hi Frankell, nice of you to help me again (took your suggestion & reached out) . The ms style would be great for now. I use win7 x64. Ultimately though a WB would be ideal as I said in post 2 I tend to use blue WB's currently using the excellent southern lights wallpaper with acrylic 7. But a big thankyou anyway, I look forward to trying it out.

To be honest I wasn't sure how to word it, just trying to be civil as in RL whenever asking for something from someone. No doortech1, you are quite correct. However I'm not bothered about loosing on the vertical as I never move the taskbar that way. Or do you mean that you would loose it permanently?

To all the great artists here at wincustomize This is a request for a windowblind which I think is a bit different. I was wondering if someone could do a windowblind where the taskbar is in 3d along the z-axis alot like objectdock is. A bit like frankells screenshot here https://www.wincustomize.com/explore/objectdock_backgrounds/452/ although he advises me this is not a WB. Any take

I had the same thing. What fixed it for me was to delete the iconcache.db in appdata\local then restart. It helps if you do this after killing explorer process &using elevated cmd prompt

Does anyone know of a way for objectdock to display winrar expanding files. I.E when you run winrar from right click the taskbar shows the current status of the process. I was hopping to be able to replicate this on OD.

I was wondering if there was a way to have systemtray icons as a flyout menu item on OD 2.1? Also is it possible to move the system tray icons from left side of dock to right? (OD on bottom of screen) Thanks in advance to any & all who can help
