So far I don't see anything that would warrant charging customers $10 for an upgrade from 1.9 to 2.0. :\ Been a stardock customer for a long time, and every year they seem to deliver a little less. :P I really hope they have a few hidden features up their sleeve on this one.

Thanks for the suggestions, I removed Nero and that fixed my problem. I tried reinstalling the core application of Nero but the glitch came back. In the end I kept Nero on my system but disabled all of the Nero related codecs using a utility that came with k-light codec package. All is working well now.

I have Deskscapes installed on my machine and it has been running great. The other day I installed some very common software and now my animations make a small backward jump every time the video makes a loop. This is happening on all of the dream files and not so much on the mpeg files that came with dream scene. This is not a result of a bad loop this is happening on videos that used to have seamless playback. The very first time I installed Deskscapes it gave me a message about optimizing my v

Sorry, but I agree. I know many people are having problems with the latest version of DesktopX. The latest version of Objectdock Plus slows to a crawl when I use the new animations. The first version of Icon Packager 3 broke dragging in Objectdock and breaks Windows XP Pro Disk Management utility. (Both problems caused by iprepair.dll) IconX 1.1 had a number of old problems along with a few new ones which caused all of the ic

I agree with Aleatoric. Can you imagine the flack Adobe or Microsoft would get if the programs in their Creative or Office suites weren't compatible with each other! It's like buying MS Office and not being able to use both Outlook and Word at the same time. It's really sad that so many of stardocks programs don't get along. I am a long time object desktop subscriber and I use to think that the package was a great value, now I'm not so sure. Wi

Still has spacing problems. When anything is saved to the desktop huge gaps are created. A new problem now exists. When the icon offset or spacing values are changed the icons disappear until you restart the program. Apparently stardock has teamed up with NASA. Great work!

Thanks for your help Sir Bichur, I have found a work around for now. Let me quickly go over what I have found. I have a copy of IconX version 1.00b along with an old IconX theme that I created when IconX was still part of DesktopX. If I load one of the default themes which comes packaged with IconX I get the double zoom & spacing problems. If I load the old theme everything works great. I’ve looked over the .ixtheme files and can’

Sir Bichur, Thanks for the reply, I already have my away and mouse over states configured so that my labels never visually change. My problem involves the icon animation being activated when I mouse over the label. For example my away icon state has the icon size at 72x72 while my mouse over icon state is set at 96x96. When the mouse passes over the label not the icon the icon will zoom from 72x72 to 96x96. I don't want this to happen becaus

I have been having major problems getting IconX to work right for about a year now. There are two problems in particular. One is the animation/action that occurs when I mouse over the label. I hate this because it causes a stupid looking double animation, once when my mouse crosses over the label and then again when it crosses over the Icon. Is there any way to disable the label mouse over action? The second problem involves Icons being spaced way to

I am aware that IconX is no longer part of DX. But the fact that IconX has problems still remains. I have updated to the newest versions of IconX & DesktopX and I'm still experiencing the same problems I had before. If I revert back to an older version of IconX it won't load at all. The only way I can get the two working together properly is to go way back to IconX version 1 and DesktopX version 2.3 I emailed technical support about this iss

Still doesn't work right with IconX. IconX still has spacing problems, when anything is saved to the desktop the icons are spaced way to far apart regardless of your settings. IconX still has the problem of treating the label and icon as two separate mouse over points, resulting in a stupid looking double animation upon mouse over. These are both problems that were introduced sometime after DX 2.2 or 2.3, how long is it going to take to get this right?

Is this new version of DesktopX going to be 100% compatible with the new IconX? The two haven’t been nice to each other since DesktopX version 2.3 I think the plan of splitting the two up in hopes of generating more IconX buzz has failed miserably. Will we see these two programs back together again? It breaks my heart.

Just another build that I can't use with IconX. Ever since version 2.4 things have been weird for me. No matter what I do. In all of the versions after 2.4 my IconX icons zoom when my mouse goes over the label and then again when I mouse over the Icon, resulting in a stupid looking double zoom. In the past icons didn’t zoom when the label was touched. Another problem is when downloading items from the web to be placed on the desktop they are spread all
