There is definitly [I]some[/I] bug as also the following happens: If i change the gameinfo files to point to the correct soundfiles (incase of the tec light frigate) where they exist. The game gives me the error that the file is missing, although it is right there under the name given and i can play it if i want. Also using the scouts sounddata that is pointed out in the file, which does not exist (all files missing) works for the game without problem and the frigate just uses the an

so, i´m about 2/3 done, vasari are now completly protoss, some tec units are still not done, expect the full thing tomorrow evening
After the field test of mod version .5 and some tests afterwards with the AI we found some things that i had missed. The vasari, especially the the capships were too strong after the conversion. Also one of the vasari abilities that gives an percentage bonus also got much stronger with their boni. So i have rectified these things. -Increased antimatter cost of the battleships first abilitys to match its increased effectiviness. -Changed the shield transfer from hull to 2/3 bo
Levelling values (at what xp amount they level) is not possible, as this is not in the ship file but in the gameconstants and can only be changed universally as of now (for all ships and races) a frigate kill will also give always as much xp as a capship kill, as its in the same file, if you want levelable frigates
"Just" is very easy to say. i have "just" tried that and its harder than one might think. Levelling is currently only defined in the gameconstants file and they require a very specific structure to their shipfiles. Just adding/changing the values in the frigates file doesn´t work. In the end you have something more like what multianna said: A Capitalship that looks and fights like a frigate, but it will still have all the traits of a capitalship.
