I think it is going to be based on the basics of DOTA but have alot more to offer. I just started playing DOTA because I wanted to get an idea of what Demigod is about. I love DOTA but want more variety. Looks like Demigod has variety as well as looks awesome. BTW I am crossing my fingers that it will be the usual beta process were you pre-order and you are in the beta. :D
Is impulse going to replace the current stardock software then? If so I am assuming I keep all the games I have purchased? I am hoping they do demigod exactly like they did sins. Pre-order the game and you are in on the beta process.

I actually have been running into the same thing. I always check the open games and recently it looks like no games are going and the same people are sitting there but are afk. Of course I am not sure if when a game starts the game is no longer listed in the join game channel. If they do disapear when the game begins then I am way off.

Yeah we did. Every time it locked up I looked and at least one person said lag instead of ok. Could be someone's connection went bad or something like that.

Played two MP games last night and it was awesome. SDC and IC you guys rock. I only had an hour but found a couple of small things. When you are setting up a game the chat text only allows you to type a few characters at a time. In the main lobby it seems to allow you to type a lot more text at once. Also I noticed that the main lobby sees all the conversations from games that are being setup. Not sure if that was intended or not. I guess it is nice talking to the guys in the lo
I dont think anyone has a real or I should say valid issues with the graphics. I think where some are getting concerned is in the animation area. I think they want to be able to zoom in to the ship and see the crew walking around and see all the turrets and what not firing and moving -etc... I agree with you on the animation. I think the graphics are fine. I run everything on the highest setting on my laptop and I think it looks great. The only games I buy for graphics are the FPS games since they are always the same. When you buy and FPS you know your just running around killing things so you want it to look and feel as realistic as possible. RTS is a whole different genre. I play RTS games for the gameplay aspect not for immersion and graphics. I think SOSE is fun and it is only beta 1. I like watchi

If you order the game through totalgaming.net and get it with tokens they send you a serial number and access to the beta. That is how I got in and it was recommended by Yarlen so they are cool with it.
Played a little last night. I was to wrapped up in a beta 1 game that I did not get much time to play space rangers 2. What I did play was very overwhelming but cool. I am going to play at lunch today and get into it more but looks very deep and fun.
Well I figured this out finally. I poured over the settings for like 10 minutes trying to find out where to change this. I got frustrated so I start a new game up. I look up and what do I see....A big freaking button you click that toggles scroll to mouse on and off. Can't believe how stupid I am sometime.
Thanks for the good/crap news. What I find so cool is that the beta testers are such an enormous part of this game. You guys basically give us the basic build and the concept and we tell you exactly what we like and don't like. Then you guys have to do all the work and you deliver what we want. So the buying tokens and pre-ordering the game on totalgaming.net worked. Any of you waiting for beta 2 but really want to get a feel for the game sooner should look into doing this. My little over an hour with beta 1 has greatly impressed me at how far the game is along. I know they say beta 1 is not designed to be fun but right now at work I can't wait to get home and play......it may be a sign of what SOASE is going to be. I did not change any settings besides the resolution. If "Zoom on cursor" is not default when the game is first installed I strongly believe it should be. Especially if guys like me who played supcom etc. come along they could get really frustrated real fast without knowing you can change this setting.
Well since everyone else is commenting in this thread I will throw mine in. I believe the pausing should be like supcom. You can set the number of times the game may be paused or have unlimited. Example each player starts a game with 2 pauses kind of like timeouts in sporting events. Concerning what the OP of this thread is about I agree with Firefox99. I love the current system in place. Well I played for a little over an hour yesterday and I am impressed. I set my settings to 1440x900(Whatever the widescreen is) and put everything on high. I then went to the tutorials first to learn.
