and...does it also work when shields are down?

Another question: Does shield mitigation also work when the shields are exhausted? In the thread it is written: "Shield mitigation is present when the shields are down." This seems somewhat counter intuitive since it is called shield mitigation. Thanks again for helping me!

Probably a very noobish question, but it is still not clear to me from this post. 1) Does armor already work when you still have positive shields? Or does it only apply to the damage done to the hull of a ship? Thank you for your help!

Thanks for all the reviews and responses. I will definitely buy an e-reader. As regards an Ipad, I will first need to buy a smarthphone :)

I think i prefer the kindle, since I would be using it mostly for reading. I was just wondering if an Ipad reads better than just reading from a regular computer screen or laptop screen. I suppose both have the disadvantage that you are looking into a source of strong light, which the Kindle doesn't have. Actually there was just big news today that amazon will soon announce new tablets. Another question, are all new (and interesting old) books available on kindle?

I'm thinking about buying either the Amazon Kindle or Ipad2. I wonder if you have experience with these machines and how they match up for reading. Of course I know the Kindle is especially meant for reading, but I wonder if the Ipad comes close or if the kindle is in a league on its own.

What books do you read to get inspired to play games like SINS? Are those space opera, and if so, which ones are really great (aside from Dune)?

Source code seems fun. I will give it a try once it is in theatre here. Should one see the tv series first before watching Serenity?
