Huh? Why disagree Greg? Did you ever try setting up a rally point from planet to planet? There is never a case where the improvement I suggested will collide with anything else even if you have the planet menu open etc. When you have the planet selected and you right click on another planet you cannot mess up anything. Right-click rally point set from production buildings exist in many other games and it can only make the interface better for Sins. I also disagree with

Right now to set a rally point from a planet to another planet, I have to click on the source planet, click on the Rally button, and click on the destination planet. Instead, it should be: click on the source planet, right click on the destination planet and you're done. It's interesting that it isn't already this way because Sins UI is generally excellent.

Yes, I saw the faction modifier but think of the case you're playing 8 AIs, random races. You need to look at the modifiers for each pair one by one. Inconvenient. They should just be labeled as loyalist or rebel.

I know why it's there. I am just saying it (technically) should be unnecessary given AI players can ally with each other which is what this update attempted to achieve. AI players aren't at an inherent disadvantage compared to the human player except that they are AIs. Extra challenge is nice but extra challenge through a cheat isn't so nice unfortunately.

Thanks for the huge update! I still see the 5 second or so freeze (sporadic) when I complete a mission for AI even after hotfix. This freeze didn't exist pre-1.3. My guess is maybe the game is re-calculating possible missions after a mission is completed and that causes a delay? The problem of AIs only bidding on you for pirates seems to be (mostly) gone after hotfix because of the AI relationship bonus nerf. The thing i

These look very nice. I've seen some very nice changes in these three developer journals. What I am curious about is this: After these changes will the AIs finally be able to form long-term camps and alliances. As a player it is easy to forge good relations with the AIs but what I want to see is lasting alliances among AIs and common friends/foes between AIs. That's what diplomacy really means to me. Looking forward to trying v1.3. <p

Great news on the patch! Thanks for not forgetting about this game. I am mostly a single-player player so I was wondering if there would be any AI improvements in the patch. I am not talking about a complete AI overhaul but maybe just fixing / improving on some of the known issues. For example: AIs handling of starbases... Instead of blindly attacking, AI could maybe skip starbases and go to the next planet if it thinks / finds out that starbase is something it can't ki

Excellent news on the update. Getting over the 2GB limit doesn't excite me much as I don't play huge galaxies usually but I am sure there will be other fixes/improvements in a hypothetical patch so it's great news overall. Frankly, the game is great to me as it is right now. The biggest improvement for me would be improving the AI so I can't easily beat it on Normal difficulty (AI better handling attacking starbases, etc.). And yes, I would also buy a hypothetical Sins expansion or Sins 2.</p

I would also like to say thank you for a great game. The game seemed a little simplistic to me when I got it at first but when I got into it I saw how deep and addicting it is. I would especially commend Ironclad on how amazing the UI is. Everything is at your fingertips. Everything has a tooltip that explains exactly what you need to know. The game doesn't make you click on something unless you absolutely need to. They use things like colors to convey certain information on the UI. Every tim

Vasari Reintegration is one example. The other races have one or two of these techs too. You guys are right. The first level unlocks the ability and the second level improves it. Reintegration is 16 HP/sec at 1st and 24 HP/sec at 2nd. Unfortunately, the info card doesn't mention this. Anyway, mystery solved.

I noticed that some research have multiple levels even though it only unlocks something. What's the point of this? It seems pointless to me. I am not talking about the case where the first level is prerequisite for something else. Maybe I am missing something.

Hmm I see. Yeah I checked the patch log and see the nerf. I can tell you that they nerfed it too much. I was collecting more diplomacy points than the AIs most of the game and once I researched the three relationship bonus techs it was no contest. I won the game (even my team was losing militarily) with almost 100 points difference with the next highest points. Maybe the AIs need to be taught they need to research relationship bonus techs as soon as they can when diplomatic victory is enabled

More questions: 1) I tried a couple of games with diplomatic victory enabled (3v3 - I and 2 Normal AIs vs 3 Hard AIs) but teams not locked. I played TEC in both games. It seems to me that I acquire diplomatic points much faster (2x) than the AIs. Why? Is it because I was TEC (there were other TECs too but they were acquiring points much slower than me) or is it because I am human? 2) I still don't get the pirates. In my last game, even though there was a higher

What is the definition of defeat? The defeated AIs in my game still had their home planet and some ships and they were collecting resources. Do the AIs resign? Yeah I figured I would have to "upgrade" to multiplayer soon. In fact I did play my first online game with some newbies like me last night. I'll probably hit the Ironclad online a lot more from now on.

A couple more questions: 1) What is the highest level that AI doesn't cheat (not in terms of fog of war but in terms of resources etc.)? I've been playing on normal. Thinking of upping the level a bit. 2) In my last two games, the TEC and Vasari AIs always seem to be defeated in the middle of the game without any apparent reason. I am assuming the Advent AIs are pushing their culture and it's a cultural defeat. Is that the case and why don't the T

New to Sins Diplomacy or Sins in general. I am loving it so far. A couple of quick questions: 1) I know that to build a ship you need to have the required number of military research buildings at that moment. How about passive bonuses? Do I need to have the required number of civic research buildings to get some passive bonus from a tech at that moment? I am thinking researching the tech and scrapping the research building to save on logistics slots (I have few planets). 2) When you press
