True Karmashock, many of our laws don't quite match our society. *RANT WARNING* For instance, why the hell do we have the highest drinking age of any country on Earth? 18 year olds can die for their country, sign contracts, vote, smoke, have legal consentual sex, run for public office (though not at the national level), and be prosecuted as an adult. In every other way, 18 year olds in America are considered adults. So why do you have to wait until you're 21 to drink a

In America, we do have a lot of whores and we should be pround of it! Only in America can you have a nation of whores...and still only have positive population growth because of immigration! The Great Emperor, because I like you, I invite you to come to America a
Karashock, you make it clear you know nothing about Cater at all. The man was smart enough to avoid a war that idiots like Bush would have plunged us into. He was so dumb he brought peace between Egypt and Israel. Please cite your evidence that Carter personally brought peace between those two countries. Because I thought Israel wiping out Egypt’s attack force and demonstrating he could completely ruin Egypt is what made peace. He w
I would prefer: No Treaty -> no retreat non-aggression pact -> retreat to neutral/own systems possible alliance -> free passage i like ur style This would work for me.
Really? I thought Clinton didn't cause too many problems for the russians... And the russians must have LOVED Carter... all our enemies loved Carter... man he was dumb... seriously... he makes Bush look smart... but whatever. Karashock, you make it clear you know nothing about Cater at all. The man was smart enough to avoid a war that idiots like Bush would have plunged us into. i hope they add that race. yarley said in no uncertain terms that there would be no space ponies Yarley will change his mind when i show him the photos I took of him during his last visit to his families farm, ya know the one sheep ranch they have? ya know wha

I personally dont consider watching a book very stimulating or exciting, but I guess to each his own. you should watch the big 3 Playboy Penthouse Hustler Great books to watch! can be VERY stimulating and exciting!
I thought the WHOLE PURPOSE of phase inhibitors was to make deathtraps for ANYONE! If the AI can't deal with it, it is the AI that should be changed, not the phase inhibitors. The purpose is to prevent (or at least slow) deep incursions into your empire. The descision to have them only block your own phase lanes is one of balance (so retreats are possible and it's NOT an automatic death trap), not nerfing to help the AI. </di
My fav books are the Honor Harrington series by David Weber. Lots of starships fighting, domestic and interstellar politics, moral dilemnas, complex cultures and societies, and aliens which look like cat/monkey half-breeds. As for fav movie, its a toss up between V for Vendetta (viva la revolution!),
My preference would be for fighters to chase bombers until air superiorty was achieved. It may be better for Garda Flak frigates to protect capital ships, especially the Sova Carrier and they are easy to move to where the cap ship is. I would prefer fighters to be actively seeking and engaging the bombers instead of waiting for the bombers to show up over my capital ships. "Nip it in the bud" The idea here is to reserve some fighters.
Agreed, I think the fighters should be ponies, which shoot flowers from their eyes. On a more serious note, I'd be happy with just an offesive/defensive button, and the kryo-button. You know nothing about space ponies or you would have said "shoots RAINBOW flowers from their eyes."
--------------- Multi: Thrawn2787: MY LIFE SAVINGS! --------------- Kosc: mjl1817: My pink space pony ranch! ---------------
On a similar note, I think it'd be quite handy if the fighter/bomber build/dock page also had buttons to select all active fighters or bombers owned by the selected ships, so you could issue orders easily. That would be nice!
With all the nonsense in here I was wondering if we will ever find intelligent life on this forum?
Even though it seems to be a bug, I like it how it is currently. It speeds up the game a bit for a human player, and more importantly, the AI will break out of it's star system eventually now. So, I would rather keep to current system and change the research so that it speeds up long range jumps, which are very slow at the moment. Add me to the yes vote on this one!
One thing I wish we had was the ability to assign fighters to protect certain ships. as it sits my fighters go off after bombers wherever they might be. Can it be set up that fighters protect a target from bombers rather then running after something else? I would like to keep a fighter squad (or more) in reserve to protect a certain cap ship from being plastered by bombers while in retreat. Perhaps a "protect target" mission button or setting? It could be that a carrier has th
I would like to see the sources where you get your information and conclusion that "in 2 decades time" the development of AI will exceed human intelligence and capability. From the research I've done online and info from reputable resources, I see a sentient AI far from being able to match a human's ability. We already have a very tough time trying to get a AI to respond to human facial gestures and so forth (this is still being developed at MIT). <
Duh, you cant trust any news person, its all brainwashing propoganda paid for by Washington. Excuse me, I am not in Washington I will have you know!
and the first true desk top was in the 60s by non other than radio shack. Radio Shack ?!?!?! Wow. I pity whoever bought that monster. Thank you for the pity... I miss my tsr80 color computer. My mother bought it for me in 1978 for $3,000.
err, that is when they were made cost effective for mass production, we had gps back in the mid 70's and that was when I used it,(one was built into every parashute) it was around long before that. as to lap tops, we had them back then too... I saw one in use onboard U.S.A.F. "looking glass" at Offitt AFB in the fall of 1979 it cost about $60,000 and did little more than check the systems of other computers on the plane. (plus it had a picture
