I have each of those resolutions listed twice. And each of those refresh rates. 60 75, and forget the third. I have about 15 resolutions listed, just those three make up 6 of them. And if I switch to one resolution that has a twin and Apply and accept that resolution, if I pick its duplicate the apply button doesn't light up. Much like it's just a duplicate text reference for the same 'object'. As I said, it doesn't really cause an

1440/900 1280/1024 1024/768 Why do I have pairs of these? Is there a difference? Did I mod a config some years ago? All my refresh rates are in pairs too, remember this 'bug' since forever...never noticed it doing anything bad. And switching between one twin to the other doesn't 'do' anything. IE the "Apply" button doesn't register an actual change. So it seems the 'hooks' per-say are identical.
Lol, I really really want to play this...but I can't. Been Minecraft-ing, D3-ing, TF2-ing. XTC wishing, and figuratively put Sins on the shelf (albeit within plain view). I've even put Elemental Beta-ing on hold. Why? Because, I just know that on the days that I start...nothing will get done that day. I hate leaving games like these unfinished. I forget 'stuff.' Problem with these games (well human problem re
I don't get it. If it's DLC you would have to have trinity/ diplomacy...and then it wouldn't be $40. And if you didn't have those, then it wouldn't be DLC. And for anyone who has T/D and didn't preorder, but is NOW deciding to buy the game, there just isn't anything to complain about there. If they don't know what they're getting, then they are just being lazy about looking up information. I am biased, I'll spend the
"mana regeneration" Lol, true. Never thought of it this way...but true. Much more familiar concept to people in its function. Just wish that turrets could magically rotate without any sacrifice to other elements. Loved that in Homeworld (well, that and absolutely everything else as I'm sure most people here do.) Was a very good review, seemed thin on details...but after thinking about it, it really doesn't. Kudos to the team for
...with a blind spot in the back where their turrets have no LOS and you can shoot at them with impunity with your fighters.
This I agree with. This one seems to be a bugger...and two fold. Especially vs. structures that can phase. It makes that part of the game un-fun. I force my ships to focus fire on a structure, they attack...it phases out and then they all head out to the outer edge of the grav well to take out the newly arrived trade ship that will jump before they can get to it. [e digicons] Then I force my ships to focus fire on a structure, th
Will you blind fanboys stop avidly defending every little thing this company does?
@Gormoth01 Think you are missing the point, at least MY point. I don't think anyone is defending what was done initially. They should not have released the content they did, that was a screw-up. The issue is whether there is anything really to complain about with this Beta screw-up w
Tedium during beta testing? No way... (super sarcasm) And yeah, if you are bored/burnt out/not actually testing, go do something else. Just be glad this isn't your job.
@ anyone pitching a fit about losing their precious game save... (which appears to be about 90% of the posts.) You have got to be kidding me. There is no excuse for being ignorant of what it means to be playing a game in Beta. It's not finished, it is going to be broken and it is not up exclusively for your entertainment. If you are playing this Beta (any Beta) just to play it and entertain yourself. Please do the rest of us a favor and keep your input to y
He's actually more correct (for the idea I think he has) its weight would be more emphasized the closer it got to the planet as in it would start to have one in the direction of the planet. Mass would be constant. Thing is...there is no real relation in distance in this game. So you could argue that weight is negligible or gets exponentially larger. Since this idea is that it gets exponentially larger I am assuming the following logic behind the mechanics: The
Aye, I vote to drop "moons." (name at least not the 'planet') I like adding a new 'planet' but it being a "moon" is a stretch. There is a reverse uncanny valley of sorts for SciFi. We can accept the game board as a representation of a mystery solar system and ok there's some uncanny symmetry and hot planets, cold planets, normal, dry...works enough...but a "moon" in solar orbit...not quite. The idea I like best though is: <
I think one role of a Titan should be to suck the logistic force of the building faction. As of right now (should load the game) I believe it is '2 / 150'. Yeah they increased the cost this last patch, but not the upkeep. I think it should be worth at least 3 cap slots if not 4 and at least 50 more uh (damn it...forgot the resource name...logistic slots). There should be a benefit to not building a Titan. I think the mentality is now (Dev and players) i
Boo. I thought that being able to capture structures with Boarding Party was awesome. I just wish it worked more often (i.e. AI timing: send a troop when the target is likely to be capped and not destroyed), and that it had a faster cooldown (maybe fewer marines, more parties). But anyway: boo. Structure-capping is fun.
Just because it was 'fun' doesn't mean it helps gameplay. That said, I didn't know I could (w
Did 1v1 flagship match on a random ~60 planet system vs hard (I think loyalists). I had been spending zero on bounty, taking all pirate raids, focused on a cultural head start, used my flagship / colony ship to ninja asteroid belts / gas giants and we had the system split about 40%/40% for ownership when... I got the warning after a few hours in about the Cannon being set up on what looked like their homeworld or next to it. I paniced lol. I had no idea how much dama
It 'works' with steam but doesn't really have full support since it isn't released yet. IE my achievements aren't on my profile but it is recording them...somewhere. (woot space ponies, a secondary bonus after finding out there is at least one additional titan in the beta, can't use it though)
Looks like all the planets that have atmospheres are now translucent. And bloom doesn't apper to have any effect. Ideas? Latest drivers as far as I can tell. edit: reloaded...works fine. Must not have loaded textures probably due to another program running at the same time.
This is sorta off topic but I find the initial post has done a pretty fine job of posing it's viable strat. I never send in a fleet en mass unless A) I have to or B) I need to hammer a planet fast. I find it more economical if I know the make-up of the defenders is to stagger my fleet entry based on stengths vs. weakenesses. Or even to try and bait a certain ship types out to the edge of the well. It is very possible to flank and stretch a fleet in this ga
I agree sorta. It's slow...it's supposed to be. You have time to react to the changes. It's almost barely an RTS, but it is. Things can happen real fast, but then there is usually a lull to react accordingly (bad or good). Pirates. I feel are just a tad overpowered. I guarantee they will be changed. But I accept them as an unrealistic gimmick. But one that really works and has great potential. I mean Pirates that tell you when they are going to attack and precisely who
Just a note...yeah I've been battling the siege on a small game for a while. Problem is that I have wedged myself between two powers. They aren't getting along but they aren't in direct contact to knock heads. So I beat back their main strike force...and try to wipe it, the other guy sneaks his siege behind me so I fall back. Using 2 repair stations, jump inhibitor and maxed bomber squad hangars...i can't beat enough out of them to regain planet health I lost. And in this game cannot get ti
Not going to read all this, but... Has anyone not realized that people are arguing gameplay elements against what was stated about the design of the ENGINE? Not even going to get into how moot this is.
