There's no campaign. This is a GOOD THING. I don't have any advice on the other topics. I can beat single player 1v1 small maps but other than that I get very owned.
I am very glad that there's no campaign. Campaigns in games like this are pointless. I only play random maps. Please don't waste resources on a campaign expansion.
Ok, point taken about the path, and sorry that I was a little bitchy earlier. However, there are no files in that directory (a fact that coincides with my earlier search results). I've run the game a few times, so if it was a situation where the game created the files when it was run that should have taken care of that. I'm going to reinstall.
Ok now that we're done with the "is your computer plugged in" useless suggestion, does anyone have any real ideas? Of course I know about hidden folders. Duh. Also, you've got the path wrong. There's no "local settings" directory. The path is supposed to be C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\
I looked in c:\documents and settings\ \application data, and there's no ironclad dir in there. I even searched my whole c: drive for *.setting.
This is true of any multi core cpu with this game. I have a qx6700 and it only uses one core out of four.
How about a "pursuit" mode for fleets, so that if a fleet is attacking an enemy and they run, your fleet will automatically follow them through the phase jump?
Fleet maintenance should be based on current ships, not your ship cap A hotkey to select all planets would be nice. Hotkey and search options for selecting frigates and cruisers would also be nice. Queued up research should be viewable in list form. An option to automatically slow down game speed or pause when various events occur (research complete, getting attacked, colony founded, capital ship built, etc.) would be pretty handy. I'd also like an option to always display th
How do you select all planets?
Fleet upkeep should be based on current number of ships, not your ship cap.
Basically I just want to hit some hotkeys for "next planet" and "previous planet", but I don't see any such key bindings listed. Is there something I'm missing?
