Ok, thanks

When's the next beta intake?
But EVE is an MMO, making a mob that mimics another game is kind of odd, no?
I don't think so. If EVE was a new RTS, yeah, but otherwise, no.
Sins doesn't have support for 'speed tanking' like frigs/inties do in EVE, it doesn't have support for EW/disruption like EVE..
Aside from the various methods of tanking, most of EVE's gadgets that I can think of are already supported in beta3, or should be somewhat easily programmable.
if you take that away, all
EVE Online should be pretty good. 4 races, all with multiple ships to choose from in each size category. Also special abilities for each race, altho somewhat limited in that area I guess, compared to other "worlds" at least. The way EVE and Sins work, in regards to travelling, is pretty similar, although in EVE the warp lanes are between systems rather than planets.
hope they get around to it, otherwise its exploit city. Don't you mean "bug city", or something else than exploit at least? I don't really see how anyone can purposedly get anything out of this.
I'm pretty sure I saw this happening with the photon thingy the Akkan has, so it seems to affect all capitals with targetted abilities.
If you set the rally point of a shipbuilder to a ctrl+n'ed fleet, and one/some of those ships are also in another fleet any ships that gets built gets assigned to both fleets for some reason. Because I usually have a general group of all ships in one fleet, and just capitals in another, for easier micromanagement, this is annoying, as I have to redo the capital fleet every time I build a new frigate.
copyrights should not extend to restriction to one computer, thats limiting your property beyond your own license to use it. sounds illegal to me. I think you can install it as many copies as you want, just only play one at a time. I don't really see anything wrong with that, other than that copy protection is the spawn of evil etc. I'm a bit surprised about OF being copy protected "properly" though, as CoH had very simple copy protection (
I thought of this after the umpteenth time that pirates had rushed right past my gauss platforms into the soft underbelly of my system Somewhat offtopic, but why don't you build the defenses at the underbelly?
The iconians have a lot of spare points for abilities iirc.
To elaborate, I've submitted 4 games to the Metaverse, for 52244 pts total, but I've only got 24948 pts "officially". My last ~20k game barely made a difference to my score.
It seems to me that you don't simply get the points from your last game added. Anyone know?
Haven't read all 4 pages, so this might be here already; The ability to set a new home planet for a freighter. Basicly, I'd like to be able to build Freighters at my man capital instead of my eco capital, as it usually takes ages to build ships in the eco capital
Some bugs and annoyances; edited out as I found a much better thread to whine in
"You need to be able to copy ship designs, and just modify the parts you want to change. You should be able to copy the old design and just replace the engines if that's all you want to do." You can. Shipyard -> select ship -> upgrade There are some bugs (CTD's being the worst, not gfx related), and upgrading multiple ships is a pain. The GFX ain't all that nice imo, but the interface is cool. The "Find button" hasn't been workin
Thanks for the replies
I can either buy the game for 44.95 or buy 5 tokens for 39.95, and use the tokens to buy the game. Is there any reason to not buy the tokens? If there isn't, why not sell the game for 39.95? I'm not losing sleep over 5$, just curious
