When queueing LEV duties via clicking on a planet that has more than one LEV, only one of the LEVs does everything, leaving the other LEVs idle, thus resulting in massive inefficiency. Not seeing this myself--I very often have multiple defenses under construction at once and I always give the orders via the planet. I have the same experience as kyro: when I issue build order from the planet, the LEVs automaticall

I think the distance penalty exists to prevent players from simply maxing out the population on every planet in their far-flung empire and depending on taxes for all their income. Instead, larger empires will need to use orbital trade depots to draw additional income from their more remote colonies. I haven't played enough on larger galaxies to see how this balances out, but that's the concept.
It looks like it's rotating the skybox image 90-degrees. If you view the planet from above or another angle, does that image stay static or does it change to reflect what's on the other side of the planet? -Autistic Angel
Maybe it's just me, but building and research seem very quick compared to how long it takes to gather the resources required to initiate them. A suggestion would be (but I'm not sure how it'd be implemented) is Civ4-like 'Game Speeds', where a longer game has longer production/research times, but units can still move around at the same speed. I'm personally happy with the game speed so far, but I agree 100% that adding "New Game" sliders to adjust produc
I actually wound up playing Sins for about four hours last night. When you consider that I don't typically play games for more than about 90-minutes before I start getting restless, that's pretty impressive! As betas go, this game seems really mature. The tech tree has a lot of technologies and takes a lot of time and resources to climb, the existing units seem clearly defined and perform well in their intended roles, and the AI seems capable of launching attacks, retreating in
I think there should be some more defense mechanism for planet against this kind of attack. Right now the hangar doesn't really do a lot, the Guass platform is formidable ... but only to those who challenge them. They're feel like anti-capital ship defense right now, and these attack will just ignore them all together. Maybe we can have another gun platform to guard against frigate or cruiser, or maybe give the planet some kind of surface-to-orbit weapon to defense its
