I'd say it's fairly solid, at least relative to the current norm for newly released PC games. Furthermore, what issues do exist seem to be getting quickly addressed with patches. I posted a complaint about a recurrent CTD bug in one of my games (related to planetary invasion). Within five minutes, Frogboy had posted a link to a download for a beta patch to correct my problem. I downloaded and installed the patch no problem, reloaded my game, no more bug. That's what I call "solid" cus

Survey modules come from the Sensors tech line, not life support. You really shouldn't have much of a use for them during the first campaign mission anyway, as far as I know. As for the invasion numbers, yes they are randomly generated (but not entirely randomly... they are generated within set ranges that are determined based on each side's advantage, soldiering, and tech factors, I believe). I think that it's always invader vs invadee, but it might be player vs computer, I'm not sur
There is nothing quite like our wonderful education system. I'm guessing (hoping) that they are not from an english speaking country. The sentence structure/syntax is screwed up so badly that I can't really believe that this person speaks english. No offence intended to Chigavelli, knowing multiple languages is commendable, even if you don't know the
I have a saved game in which any time that I attempt to invade a planet, the game immediately crashes to desktop. It does not matter which planet I am invading, which race I am attacking, which transport(s) I am using to invade, or how many turns have passed since loading the saved game. I have tested this extensively, and have found that ANY attempt at invasion (on my part) will ALWAYS result in an immediate CTD. In other games (and earlier in this same game) I have never had this problem, or a
\Program Files\Stardock\TotalGaming\GalCiv2\Gfx\Tutorials I'm probably missing something blindingly obvious, but... all I see when I open that folder are 4 images (PNG Image files, whatever those are). When I open them (Windows Picture and Fax Viewer was automatically used) all I see is a single picture. Do I need to use a particular program to see t
Also, with an attack 3, and a 1/1/1 defence, I believe the total defence will be 1 (+ square root of 1 or 0 +square root of one or 0). This means if you score a 2 or a 3 on the attack roll, you'll deal 1 or 2 damage per attack. Or does the square root rule round UP? The square root of 1 is 1. Therefore the total defence value would be 1 + 1 + 1 = 3,
