Fences 2.12 is great and generally working properly. However, I created a Folder Portal of a Folder on my Windows 8.0 Desktop and the Portal is fine. However, the ORIGINAL Folder still remains on the Desktop. How do I create a Folder Portal and in that process hide or remove the original Folder? Using Fences I don't want to see ANY Desktop items that I have turned into Fences objects. Thanks for a great product! HHNET

So far this is what I noticed right away after upgrading with the latest patch. I also have installed the bonus pack but have not used any of its features as yet. + Game audio does not adhere to its settings. Especially the EVENT sound. Fire up a new game and the sound is BLASTING loud until I go into the settings and click on and move the Event slider. Also DURING the game I am forced to do this a few times within an 8 hour session playing

I ran my Stardock Central and updated my digital download of GCII. Although my game is not crashing like some users have reported after applying the patch, I have a very reproduceable game bug with regards to the audio settings. The audio settings DO visually remain as I set them. However, the EVENT audio will simply blast at full volume UNTIL I go into the settings and click and move the EVENT audio slider THEN the audio will return to the slider's se

i 5th the motion. Having a "show / follow AI" toggle would be a plus. But I do find myself playing the game more "zoomed out" than utilizing the gorgeous galaxy displays. Is there a hotkey to instantly full zoom out? It's not a big deal using the mousewheel but as I play more and more, I am wanting to use "less" mouse and eye candy.<b

ACCOLADES TO STARDOCK ! I just happen to "bump into GC2" when I purposely visited Stardock's website to see what's new cooking in the Stardock kitchen when low and behold I see the Galactic Civilization II advertisement. I then came to this site. I was impressed with what I saw and heard about the game. And the forums here are outstanding and Stardock has one great wonderful forum community. I also see that the developers are active and participat

bonscott; thanks for THAT tip. i will truly utilize that one in my future games. although the micromanagement is not annoying, that will be nice to shuttle stacks of attack vehicles to a set location. thanks. ;;cheers;;

After enjoying my FIRST 6 hours of GC2, and losing, i still feel good cuz i did very well. had i chosen a larger arena than "tiny" for the map i think i could have used my good resources, research, excellent economy, happy citizens and all that to begin buiding more lethal fleets and attack shuttles. in a small game there is only so much space and TIME is certainly a factor. Just reading every one's posts here has already helped me to understand why I got my butt kicked, but in truth, i was VERY

Navstavnik; yes although i am not any expert at GC2 as yet, I did experience exactly what you mentioned. And even at the last minute shuttling space marines to my last planet did in fact hold planet bombardments off for over a dozen attempts. Next game I will get my military research going faster and those invaders are going to meet nuclear powered chain saws to cut them to pieces!!! LOL ;;cheers;;

Misfire; i believe that you aren't trying to cause the program to vomit with unplanned menu and/or key combos. I will read the PDF manual and hope the manual that ships with the CD Box version is what takes up the other 1 inch of the fat box; meaning a juicy 200 page manual with details. Also, I dont know as yet but i am going to look into how much of the game can i playing using keyboard controls ONLY. I hope this can be the case. Mousing isn't a big

WOW, i just bought this game last nite and played tonite for 6 hours. got my butt kicked but enjoyed it. But even " i " figured out parking on defenses to guard them, i also upgraded my defenses to shoot back and with my research they did a great job up until i had Frigates in my front yard ;;heh;; But 1st game out of the box... no complaints.

First of I will admit, with other top ranking PC titles I have waited for and recently purchased, I had forgotten all about GC2. The other night I got an idea to check Stardock's site to see what's new in the utilities section such as ObjectDock. Come to my surprise it was the 21st of Febrary and GC2 was shipping! I immediately ordered the CD version whereas the box art looked FAT compared to regular 1 inch PC game boxes. I even wrote Stardock Sales
