You should be able to do it with Impulse. I don't have it on my computer at work, so my memory of tab names might be a bit off. Here's the basic idea: Launch Impulse, go to the Games tab and highlight Entrenchment. You should see an option to Run or Uninstall. After you uninstall, you will have the option to install it. Good luck!

I, too, enjoy Galciv 2 and its expansions. I am not a big RTS player, but have found the use of the Pause button to be very helpful in keeping Sins more to my speed preference.
Here are a few things I'd like to see in the expansion. Basically, I'd like to see multiple diplomatic options available that lead to better relations with other players or AI players. Here's my list (and, yes, I like the idea of improving/expanding the role of pirates): Pirates should be able to "hold" asteroids - not to colonize (I think pirates are generally mobile!) but to mine resources via extractors. Then, pirate fleets can be more formidable as they can build based on
Question I have is, if I get the expansion which is $10? Will it update the original game? Will I be able to play the expansion without also having to pay another $20?
I believe that Impulse checks for the updated version of Sins before it will install Entrenchment. I would hold off on buying the expansion until you resolve the issue with your serial number for Sins. Once you have that sorted out, though, Entrenchment is definitely wor
Could someone please point me in the direction of the Entrencement 2.5 Beta download. I've gone to Impluse and can't find it. I can't find on this site. My copy of Sins is registered. I'm also sure that I am the problem and I'm just not clicking on the correct button. Thanks.
Buckwheat2: When you're in Impulse, click the blue orb. I believe there's a preferences option. Under that, you want to Sh
This game brought me away from playing only turn-based games. I played Civ IV and gave a completely unheard-of (to me) company a shot buy purchasing GalCiv2. And Dark Avatar. And Twilight of the Arnor. Even though the description of this one didn't sound like it was up my alley, I tried it. Now, I play Sins almost exclusively. Here's what I like (in no particular order): 1) It works well on an older computer. 2) I get updates for free. I haven't had any issues with Impuls
Same here. Started two games last night, both mini dumped 10 minutes in. I'm going to run smart exception tonight and send all the information in to help IC/SD figure it out. I'm running XP SP2 with 2 GB RAM and a way-too-old-to-mention graphics card. [e digicons][/e]
Yay! Thanks, Yarlen!
Thanks Annatar. Your comment helped me find out that this site prefers Internet Explorer to Firefox. The error appears is I use the other browser. [e digicons]:)[/e]
Hi, DMNL. You mention a dialog that came up, but the message isn't appearing in the forum. Can you post that error message so the user community can help? ~Punter17
Tkins, You can pre-order from Impulse. Yarlen, Thanks for announcing the beta! I'm excited to try it out...
I'm disappointed. I hope they have a beta so I can feel better about pre-ordering. I know the money doesn't come out of my account right away, but I'm wondering what the benefit of the pre-order is without getting an early glimpse of the product?
Hi, lt411. GalCivII was just updated Wednesday (11/5) to version 2.0, but you need Impulse to get it. There was a thread in the GalCiv2 forums here where Seabass and Frogboy indicate Stardock Central isn't going to have updates for GalCiv2. I believe that Impuls
Hi, Jessemon, I'd appreciate it! Thanks!
