Changing the resolution to 1024 x 768 worked for me. however, the first time I started up the basic tutorial after changing the resolution it did bug out. a voice said "if its out there, i'll find it" and there were several enemy ships at my home planet. Restarting it fixed it for good for me. In the game I'm playing my main capital ship either decided to fly all the way between the sun and one of the planets (without jumping), or got dropped out of phase space half way. Some of the enemy's ships tried to fly out of the gravity well towards my capital ship
