Planet Health? in Strategy Sins Forums

I am in my first several hours of playing Sins. It is a visionary game, and just what I have been waiting for! Does anyone have a detailed understanding of Planet Health? My best guess is that it is like shields for the planet? I understand that it helps in resisting bombarding, but what does this mean exactly in terms of planet population? Does the population remain unchanged until planet health drops to zero? Are they direct
