I found the other posts after making this one. I trust Stardoc, I bought this game having heard almost nothing about it because of how much Gal Civ II made me giddily gleeful for almost a year. Time to jump into a 1v1 on easy and scout out the research trees/units. See you in 6-8 hours. :-)

I just got the game and hit the tutorials, then I go to New Game and start looking for the first mission.... but.... there's 20 missions and none of them say chapter 1! Where do I start!? Does this game have a narrative or is it just jump in and start playing? Very confused, I was expecting something like Gal Civ II's story progression, but apparently I was wrong or am missing something.
