Doesn anyone remember the game Imerium Galactica II? That was a great 4X Space game back in the day..., I was really disappointed when the the 3rd one was cancelled, and then Nexus 2 was later cancelled... why do space games have it so tough?
Nexus 1, that is Nexus: The Jupiter Incident was awesome. It had so much potential.
After you have worked your way up the tec tree eighty to one hundred times, it gets a tad tedious. I'd love to have a "Battle of the GODs" option (BoG)? I find the BoG to be great fun playing Galactic Civilizations II as it presents a new set of challenges when you level the field for tech.

Many thanks - it's not in the manual nor read me file?
The pirates are important part of the TEC's history and this is described in the faction section of the manual.
First off, thanks for the thoughtful reply; however, I just read the TEC faction section and I see nothing to explain the role of the pirates? In fact, the story line suggests that the Trade Order was/is a highly regulated and peaceful civilization yet one that was not tolerant. It seems odd that they had the will and force-of-arms to expel the population of an
I have played the beta for many hours. Perhaps, I should add that I do appreciate the concept behind a limiting factor that retards how fast one can expand. Read “pirates.” It just seems that there could be some more plausible device to achieve the same end. On the other hand, maybe the point was to give players a fast track to unleash their weapons early. Personally, I don't mind a long build-up to the first hostile encounter but I can see where many players are just itching to unleash t
I love this game but I’m squarely with the anti-pirate faction. As handled in the default game, they add nothing and detract much. First, no “pirate” worth their salt (or star dust) would engage in hopeless, pointless battles. No profit in it. I get the idea of using them as mercenaries but then call them mercenaries. You could pay them to tip the scales in close battles, that would be cool. Moreover, in the beginning of the game, there’s great attention paid to setting the stage in a
First off, an awesome beta with great potential; I would pre-buy again in a heartbeat A few comments after 3 hours of game play. The orange background does not give a sense of deep space. The controls to pan and zoom still need some work. A lot of "homeworld" feel which is a good thing; however, the control system for ship selection is not as smooth or intuitive as HW. I had problems selecting desired objects in order to zoom as well as grouping ships. <br/
