If you’re sending your sovereign into battle into the Fallen territory (or vice versa) and lose, it’s over but that’s a case of the player making a very deliberate decision/risk assessment. You cannot be assassinated. " <br

Back in MY day, saved games required a friggin' BATTERY in the cart, or worse, a 26 character password you had to re-enter Kids r so spoiled nowadays
Saving to the cloud would indeed be a great option, as long as it is that, an option.
That's awesome. Go tell the Firaxis dudes to stop screwing off and get to work on that X-Com sequel.
I'd rather they stop working on Civ5 (for now) and do a SMAC2, that is a franchise long LONG overdue for some new blood!
I hope so. 2K seems to have narrowed what digital distributors it wants to put titles up on. Bioshock 2 is only on Steam and D2D for instance.
Bummer, hopefully you guys can wrangle it onto Impulse! Would definitely buy it there, else I'll probably get the boxed version, depending on what DRM they use. If it is not on Impulse and has some really draconian DRM, may have to pass on this, although that

My opinion is DLC should never be about playability. You should not be paying extra for gameplay. They can sell all the DLC they want for customizing looks and the like. But any kind of gameplay advance should either be in the game, a free patch, or else in an expansion.

The ONLY way to get in the beta is to preorder via impulse. Pre-ordering at a store will not get you in. As to the when, there is usually a small window around the opening of the beta, so it usually is not just people already on the pre-order list, but also people who buy within whatever time frame that Stardock will lay out.

It'll probably make a great netbook replacement. But as an e-reader, it should be called the iFail. Who the hell would want to stare at an LCD screen for hours on end reading. You may as well just read on your current PC with a flatscreen. This thing is basically a large iPod touch with optional 3G. Note, I do have both an iPhone and iPod Touch, so I am not a complete Apple hater.
Almost completely unrelated, can't you give an example of what you call "Populus"-like powers? I remember the suggestion of "burning a hole in the map" from way back, like someone pressed a cigar against it, resulting in a big hole in the game world, with possible hilarity as the ocean pours into it in massive waterfalls. I still think that's a good idea.
That would be pretty awesome. The ocean

It defintely works, but you need to modify where the FfH2 installs, it tries to install into Civ4\Mods folder instead of the Civ4\BTS\Mods folder as it should... if you just move those and then modify any desktop shortcuts as necessary you'll be gold... just did it this weekend on my new laptop with Civ4 complete bought via Impulse.
Regarding using the Elemental engine for an RPG, unless you're talking about a 1st person view RPG like Oblivion, the graphics code requirements aren't that different than for a strategy game, the main difference would be in the camera code. And we're huge Bioware fans here, so we'd be making a 3rd person view RPG.
Thanks for the nice segue opportunity! Any chance of getting any more of Bioware's games on

Please No! Let's see more imagination. An army of human cannibals that covert a conquored populace into ready food supply or slavers that retain a percentage of the conquored as slave labor population pool is just better than the D&D purple

Just to throw my 2 cents in the mix: I love the idea of a "grey" technology level. I like the idea of either grey technologies freezing at their current RP level when they grey out, or at the very least being at a reduced level compared to any others. I also think maybe instead of being able to pick 1 green, yellow, or red tech, possible picking 2 or 3 grey ones. Not completely sold on that idea, but it is bouncing around in my head a bit. One thing I definitely do not want is techs t

I purchased mine mid-june with the 20% off Demigod coupon. Still waiting for email. No show on Impulse. Patience is a virtue. Blah-blah-blah. Jorune
Guess this'll take a while :( I pre-ordered on 11/4/08 and still no email.
