Best advice I can give you mate is to give it a try. The worst that can happen is you enter your card number, press submit and get a nice "sorry, that card isn't accepted" message. :)
Bear in mind every person and their dog are hammering the download servers, which = less bandwidth for you. Give it a few hours/days, it'll calm down. :)
Was it in the range of a military starbase?
Ok, silly question as I don't have the game yet... (it's in the post ) When you trade your tech for money, or other tech, I assume you keep the tech you traded to them right?
