I was thinking that a separate forum for modding would be great! maybe a little early since the game is in beta stage but, at least when the game is released?
A change in the menu: It would be a lot easier to change the number of planets with a slider instead of a button.
I just wonder how much of the game will be moddable? I tried to change max planets and stars to a higher value, but the game didnt like it and also tried to change the InterPlanetGravityDistance to all kinds of values but I didnt see any difference of teh gravity well, or is that value hidden someplace else? <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Smile.gif" border=0 align="ab
I think they didnt put all the AI power with the beta yet. oh! I think these sliders would be great to have as option before you start a game: Gamespeed Economy efficiency research efficiency phase jump travel time also I would rather see the larger ships (humans especially) to be more as "oldtime ships", where you turn around to give your enemy a broadside with your side mounted turrets.
I agree with ya DRavisher, but i dont feel the largets ship in sins should be the largest, instead I think 1 or maybe 2 larger classes would be awesome, and even more costly
and maybe some tiny humans flying from the planet as you bombard it

I get the feeling that the game wont play more than just 1-2 weapon sound at a time, it sounds really bad. Although when you bombard a planet it sounds perfect, even with a lot of bombs. And I must say, the SFX on the bombs hitting the planet, AWESOME!!! and here is what my text looks like:
That was some really great ides Paradoxnt! especially that idea with orbiting planets etc.! and also I think you should be able to force your fleet to move at the same speed as the slowest one if you want, instead of having your smaller ships rush ahead, taking a beating until your bigger ships comes into range.
I must agree with jnewl that when you click on a news you will be taken to that point. sometimes you get like 2-3 news at the same time, but I really wanted to go to the planet where the enemy fleet is I think its too easy to research all the topics in the techtree. This is suppose to be a 4x game, and in those games you can research for a whole day and still wont get like 50% of all the tech
well I know that the colonize ability does lower its cooldown and energy use. but the attack ability (railgun etc)doesnt show any difference, it would be nice if teh game showed you how much damage it does.
I know its a liiiitle to early for this, but i just thought of this idea for an expansion: Super capital ships, (a ships class larger than capital ships ) and maybe a size bigger than that to!!
is there a way to install the missing font of the game? since I to have the problem with text going outside of the boxes etc?
I would like to be able to form my fleets into formations, it just looks cooler having a large fighter squadron fly in a "claw" formation instead of the way it is now when they just fly around, acting like bees When I double click a planet, it would be great if the game centered the camera and zoomed into that system. make the planet bombardment weapons appear from like a turret or somet
I like high maintainance, prevents you from building a super large fleet when you are low on planets
Well First I must say its a really cool game! and here is some thoughts of mine: - When my ships attacks planets, the "fireball" shots seems like they are just appearing next to my ship and then flies toward the planet. I cant see any gun firing those at all. - when I want to phasejump lets say "west", and my ships are closer to the "east" side of the gravity well, then they drive to the "east" side of the planet, starts to jump and then phase jumps through the planet.
