Hi there! As far I know Alloy is only required to host for people not beeing able to forward their ports correctly. Today someone said, if Alloy is not used, the opposite team of the host cannot win, also the game would be fast WITH alloy. So please give a statement how it should be used in the current version 1.12. Should we ALWAYS use alloy for hosting for different reasons or is it only required for people not beein able to setup their NAT correctly, as

one of the dumbest posts i read here lately, regarding to the current issues not solved yet...

New SINS version 1.12.042 Games list is empty but it says there are X available games. Post here if its happening on your side too, thx.
*** NEW BUG *** Unfortunately I cannot see any games in the games list but it says 4 are available. Vice versa when I host a game, ppl in lobby cannot see my game. Since I see several people in lobby reporting this issue, I guess its a new feature of 1.12.042 :))) L8er
nice, hope it will be released very soon !
I just recently played as Vasari for the first time. I had been hearing all about this RA (Not sure exactly what this stands for) and I am assuming it has to do with teching up to get the "Dark Fleet" ships. I built all the labs, built about 7 phase stabilizers, and was expecting a big return. Spent the resources to activate them all, and all i got was about 6 or 7 ships from each stabilizer.
you did correctly... you get like 6-7 ships... one important th

That is the whole point, to test it to see if there is a problem before release. And alert the devs in a constructive way by posting your save game / recorded game, etc. Complaining about a problem in a beta build without providing the means to locate it is pretty stupid. I noticed when using it, that you can join a game with other people playing on 1.11, but not sure what happens if you actually launch into the game as I didn't try it. I've actually had pretty good luck with 1.12 and 1.11, but I always restart the game after I've finished a round, it's become common practice...
As I know you can't join when you h
auto-enable works good, but auto-disable doesnt... blair... when u give movement comands to them, it should be auto-disabled. or if cooldown, auto-disable should be queued and movement command should follow... its really annoying, i also never research phase missiles because of thi...
Blair, we just had a game with v1.12 and it had a desync. JohnJames is sending you the logs via e-mail. The person it desynced with is shalom_don.(de) Please hunt this guy down. We couldn't get him to hang around long enough to explain to him that you need his files.
There is a sort of way to spot quitters. People with lots of games, but few results (ie.e wins/losees)m especially if they have no/few loses are often quitters. This isn't true 100%, but can be seen as a sort of rule of thumb. e.g. 156 games (30 Wins, 2 losees) = possible quitter 234 games (123 wins, 27 loses) = non-quitter (or very good player that only quits if losing, which isn't often...) You have to forward the ports to the PC in your Lan you are playing SINS with. For e.g. if the PC you are playing SINS with has the IP 192.168.100.2 your have to forward the ports to that IP. Thats it.
Definately Fallout 3
The Stabiliziers are starting to load up Anti-Matter after they are built. I haven't watched closely, but I suspect they start to work after some Anti-Matter is filled up. If you find out anything about it please post here, I am also very interested in that information.
hiya there! nice post, lot of effort in it, nice .pdf in your link. well done, hopefully some people find this information useful and can fix their problems hosting a sins game.
I played my first multiplayer games a few days ago. Never had any problems in single player. But when I see this bug exists since april or earlier, I look on my calender which says tomorrow is November, I feel very sorry for this. That are 7 months now without the bugs beeing so far terminated that gameplay becomes enjoyable. Enjoyable would be to be able to play at least 4 games out of 5 without a crash. Actually it is ever 2 games someone dumps... In the lobby are like
I saw it happening some times when some ships enter an Asteroid. In this moment the game is crashing. Maybe this info can help.
