Wow! I have always been a stardock fan for treating me like a customer, and not a criminal. This makes might make me into a full blown fan boy! Do you all sell shirts? In all seriousness, it's companies like stardock that will keep PC gaming around.
OK 1) As has been said, siege frigates have been nerfed, which make defending against them and killing them much easier. 2) ship solid cap: Agreed it sucks 3)swarms, oh the type of swarms: It really depends on the swarms that you are faceing. Fighters beat LRMs which best Frigs, ETC. I always aim for combined fleets, with an emphasis on strike craft to catch runners. 4) PJI oh come now, seriously? 2.5x increase is something to sneaze at.: Argeed that sucks... though it still lets
I love the Marza's Nuke ability. With a few missle frigates and cluster missles, they can rip up frigate formations. Helps when those damn Siege frigates are eatting up your worlds. Plus while your Kols are slugging away they have the range, and seam to do good damage. The kol seems to be more of the tank for the TEC. I always build an Akkan first. While not the strongest of ships, the abilities it has are great support. Range + accuracy are always good. The ion cannon is great for stopping run
If your willing to spend a few extra bucks, try direct download + Dvd copy. Stardock central is pretty easy to use, and you still get that back up copy. Hey think about it this way, what you spend on shipping, you save on gas...
They can be fun, but the ability to change them, or at least have them scale to game speed. Would give the game more of a sand box feel.
