I think when it comes to planetary bombardment, HP should go entirely first, then the population. Right now everyone dies before the HP wear out and it kinds seems dumb as the HP represents bomb shelters and the strength of the planets infrastructure, and it seems weird that everyone on the planet dies, but the invaders have to nuke every building before they can land.

I want unique frigates, cruisers, and cap ships for each race and a super cap ship for each race, hoorah!!
I think it would be cool to be able to buy out the nuetral factions or pirates gaurding nuetral systems kind of like in Rise of Legends. I also think the minor races should be in control of the world so start out with, so you have to take them out to get the world.
I really like Sins of a Solar Empire, but I kinda feel like all the factions are the same. They frigates are essentially the same (each has a combat, siege, missile, scout and colony frigates), same for the cruisers. Even the capital ships feel pretty much the same. The tech trees, capital ship abilities, and super weapons do set the factions apart, but they still feel mostly the same. My idea is to make the frigates and cruisers feel more different. For example the TEC frigates cou
Those are nuetrals or pirates and they are there from the start to defend the planet, like creeps in Warcraft III
Just a couple of ideas for Sins 1. A very easy and very hard difficulty option. I still keep getting my butt kicked and I've been playing for hours on easy. 2. Story Mode (Something like Star Wars: Empire at War does it) 3. More units, technologies, and more uniqeness in each factions repertoire. Other than that this game is good fun.
How about an additional planetary development option that places a couple of mobile turrets inside the inner ring of the build area that can attack sieging units but not much else and protects the planet from sieges.
This game is sort of like hegemonia, which had a decent campaign. I agree with ttaargus that the same map should be used for the whole campaign. With such a rich history and storyline prior to the game I still say that they should do something with it.
I have one question, is there a campaign in Sins? It seems a waste to have all the lore and backstory to the game and no story mode or campaign for it.
