Probably have lots of tweaks and number changing with the update since it is changing alot of stuff in 1.03

Hope the diplomacy can be changed. This was brought up in a previous post (which i did not realize was the cause of the problems), is that one reason why diplomacy is soo hard to maintain is that the AI constantly sends out scouts and scout frigates. These will come to your empire to scout, but it is early in the game and your defenses and ships will destroy them, canceling out any diplomacy you have gained. Errr... i didnt mean to say expansion. Meant, the 1.03 update.
Excellent mod going to try it this weekend, but can you increase the effectiveness of defenses to balance it out? Like double the hangar space and doubling the damage and range of point defenses? If you do that, it should be a very good mod.
If this is the case, be nice if they change it so killing scouts does not affect diplomacy standing.

With the increased money and resources, the rate of research should not be changed. As is, once i get my empire established at roughly one hour into the game, i have a perpetual back log of research items even with 10 civilian and 10 military research stations. Halfway through the game, i had at all times 20 or more technology research items backlogged.
supposedly it is something they are looking at increasing, check out some of the posts by the developers. Be nice if they make it a cap we can change under the game set up screen. This is a problem for me, i have done several free for all games against 4 AI's. With out fail, at about the one hour mark, all of them are attacking me with sizable fleets including there capital ships. I have tried to do the missions, but they mostly require offensive measures, which is hard to do early in the game. Defeat 2 or 4 tacticle or logistical structures? Hard to do early on. Icedude, thought about adding the planetary mod by Uzzi? Some planet variation will add alot of depth.
Are there penalties for failing a mission? If so, can that be reduced? Seems silly to get missions to attack a player on the other side of the map, that i cant really get to, and get penalized. I am assuming there are, for it seems they all attack me mid point in the game.
Correct me if i am wrong, if i fail at a quest i get negative reputation? Can that be removed or drastically reduced? I should get rep for completing a quest not negative for failing. As is, i only pay half attention to the missions, and within an hour or so, all of the AIs ignore each other and gang up on me. Edit. Can you do a merge with Uzii's planetary mods? Perhaps make two seperate downloads, one with the merge and one with out.
Just discovered your mod, havent tried it out yet. I scanned through your patch notes, i didnt see anything about diplomacy and missions. As is in the game, as it goes on, our reputation gets lower and lower to the point they all gang up on us. Mission times are too short, and penalties are too great. Needs to be made easier to negotiate and make allies.
Quick question, i havent tried the mod yet, if i use this mod with the Mars mod, do i need to combine them? Or just load them up individually and activate them individually under options?
Question.. played quite a few games already. Not sure on this, is the size of the pirate attack proportional to the size of the bounty? Does the pirate raid size cap out if i spend XXX credits?
I have to say this... I love you. This was one of the more annoying features of the game, when I am waging war on several fronts and i zoom in to issue quick orders. Will try it tonight, if the wife doesnt attack me first. *Edit* Will the auto follow still work when i double click the unit?

upkeep should be Money cost. Should not affect metal and crystal as it does now. I assume upkeep also affects metal/xtal for my production drops off later on in the game.
Hmm, I have a similar system: E6600 Conroe 7900GT XP Pro 2gigs of Ram On super massive battles, when i zoom in all the way at max video settings, i have very slight, most of the time the video lag isnt noticeable at all.

Question... How do you guys use diplomacy? I can never get AIs to offer cease fires or trade agreements. I dont recall them asking me either. I have offered at various stages in the game, even when i have clear military superiority.
All i play is single player, once in a rare while, i will team up with a friend so we can take on multiple AI's. As is the game is great, with future promises by IC in the very near future. Lots and lots of interesting mods out there that adds alot of fun to the game. Check out the modding section. If you like RTS and space combat, you will not be dissapointed.
