Nope. If you want to play to win with 'quality over quantity' then play WC3 with it's incessant hero micromanagement. This is a 4x game. Economy is over half the game. Action gymnastics is typically how 'quality over quantity' occurs. Pfft. I get the sense that all this anti spam whinery is over the fact that capital ships aren't heroes. No, they aren't. Sorry. Ever play Supreme Commander, Total Annihilation? Now go whine that you're being spammed with Tier 1 tanks. geez.
<br/

The entire cruiser class is useless. I will build 200 missile frigates and own your combined fleet of targets. I never said anything about losing; I can frigate spam with the best of them. It just makes the whole experience boring and after 6 hours for a game it just isn't satisfying. I predict multiplayer on this game will be dead within 8 months between the long game time and spam noobery. I'm going back to CoH (:

Alright so I finished my third game last night and decided it was time to post some suggestions. Take it for what its worth! (1) Game incredibly too easy. I played with 8 hard computer AIs setup into teams of 2. I went on offensive immediately. Once I got to capital ships, it was all over. For some reason, the AIs refused to operate more then 2 capital ships at any one time. I know its beta, so I hope to see some tweaking to make them more of a challenge. (2) Pirates, w

I am in agreement with the general consensus that the pirates become too irritating in the later game. Yes, their ships are pushovers, but their ability to spawn anywhere and their overabundance of planetary bombardment tactics means that you now have to spend good sums on installing extensive defensive installations at nearly EVERY planet. It isn't that you really fear them, it just becomes aggravating to put up decent numbers of gauss platforms and hangers, and have them not be able
