Pandora's ring appears to lack a spacelane at the top.

Why would a developer be so fantastic at his own game anyway? They hardly get any time to play the game.
You do lose the resources you invested, however Ron says you can plunk it down then immediately cancel it before the enemy can react and target it. It will already have stopped though, and is therefore a risky exploit for slowing down the enemy capship. I agree that structures that are not yet under construction should only be ghosts that any ship can pass through and enemies can't see (beyond the constructor moving purposefully in that direction).
That is called "Pervasive Economy" and is TEC's level 15 empire tech.
Short of free-killing the 0-hitpoint structure you mean? Would be rather expensive to keep the cap there...
I tend to have too many capital ships sharing experience to get there. My flagship rarely gets to be level 7 or higher.
I think the "confirm you can see this" button is fairly obvious as well.
--Reinforce fleet command. This would bring up a list of the closet x shipyards (with a number showing current jump distance of each) and allow you to select a shipyard and create ships that would be added to the fleet without changing the shipyards current way point, so any ships queued before or after in the normal way would go to the shipyards actual way point instead of the fleet.
You can do this by putting the planet with the shipyard into a group. My home planet is alway
1. Known. It's reportedly getting an overhaul. 2. Only too powerful because the AI can't cope. About suitably powerful against players. You're far from alone thinking it's acting too quickly though, but this is my opinion. 3. It is . 4. You actually can (good), but not when building them (not so good). Hover your pointer over your ship and it will say the damage per second of the ship in question. 5. You missed it then. The t
At this stage, the Vasari will not be changing in radical fashion (I have already stated why in several other threads). However, Ironclad is re-arranging some of their special techs/abilities to appear earlier in the game so that the differences will be more apparent.
Let me just reiterate that what I want changed is the lore, so that it is more in tune with what we see, not changes to the game (as that would be lots and lots of more work that there is no time fo
Rough translation: "I want an option for how players are placed. Currently more than one player always ends up in the same system, with this option they would instead end up in separate systems if they are available. For instance, with three players and three stars, each gets his own."
You could load some of the replays that are posted and see what experienced people choose to do, but I can't remember where they are.
It does not make any military sense. [link="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flagship"]Wikipedia[/link]:
A flagship is the ship used by the commanding officer of a group of naval ships. The term originates from the custom of the commanding officer (usually, but not always, a flag officer) to fly a distinguishing flag.
Flagship could simply be automatically transferred to the highest ranking capital ship left in the fleet, and/or give some way to assign it. It shouldn't ha
Well, they were in that game, although against fairly new players I think. I didn't follow the battle very precisely, but I know there were 3 people with their entire fleets (guessing about 100 fleet poinst each) against three Dunovs and nothing else (well, possibly some frigates, but less than 5 frigates at any given time). The Dunovs came out unscathed.
However, [link="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fanta"]countries with Coca Cola[/link] have.

I noticed a lag of about 10 seconds at times between posting a message and it appearing, and sometimes it was lost and never appeared. With that said, there was a LOT more people there than I usually see, but I'd imagine it has to scale with more than 10-20 people. Gameplay is not affected.
Well it was a fun game for me at least. We were 2v2v2v2, but my teammate lagged and quit. Later when I hit Gauntlet he quit for some reason, he said something about being nice. As both Paradox and me thus lost our allies, we teamed up but were separated in different systems. After we took care of the AIs, I had slightly less than half the system including the AI gauntlet's worlds while Raigo got my AI ally's worlds and had slightly more than half the system (unless he was tardy about co
I think that first tutorial is bugged. I just quit it and started the next one. Fight against an easy AI the first time and you'll be fine by just experimenting. But yes, that one could definitely be improved.
Hey guys, where are you all? We're only 3 people now .
He apparently talks about beta3, as the Vasari are not in yet. Edit: Sorry about the necromancy, I was browsing the news forum and forgot that I was reading an old piece.
Doublethink, I would advice against taking the lore at face value. Look at the gameplay in the videos instead to see how the game works. I'm curious about how they will cram a campaign in in such a short time, but multiplayer will be what I'll play the most anyway.
I'm here already, ready for a fight before that one.
I see that the one doing the trouncing (usually Ron) was immediately attacked by the third party when it was hopeless for the underdog, which is how it should be in a FFA. But it can of course get to be really long games that way. I like what Ron says about not having to be allied to pay tribute.
You should take a look at the gameplay videos here and decide for yourself: [link="https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/?forumid=402&aid=148534"]Multianna's games[/link] (fan) and [link="https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/?forumid=403&aid=167206"]Brad Wardell's game[/link] (Stardock) My take is that the game is playable, and very enjoyable in multiplayer. The AI needs work, which it is getting. Depending on size and player skill, games typically take 1-5 hours. Diplomacy is rudiment
