To give your ships the ability to move on all three planes (X, Y, and Z) press and hold down D(or whatever hotkey you assigned "move" to) and SUPRISE! you can move your ships on all three axis. Now stop complaining about it not existing because it most obviously does.

The thing is most people expect RTS to have a campaign because almost every RTS ever has. RTS fans seem to be simple minded fools who need to be led by a linear story to understand.... well anything. Just my .02 though.

The problem is the cap. In my opinion that is the problem with most, if not all, RTS that have ever been made. Economics simply doesn't matter in this game. The basic state of economics in Sins seems to be it's mostly there to initially build. Granted as you expand the cap there is a negative modifier to your economy in the form of the upkeep percentage but, at least in my opinion, it over simplifies and is there simply to "prove" that the economics exists and not to limit in the sense economics

Not sure but I've yet to see it in any US store yet, though the only place I've really been in the last month is GameStop

Only a rail gun would be immediately set. Any laster weapon of any kind would do it's damage instantaneously as any weapon that is light would travel at light speed meaning unless we're talking some great distances there wouldn't even be a chance to maneuver to avoid it.

I agree any ship other than a small fighter would be unlikely to move much. And even if it did I don't think it would really do much in terms of "dodging" because any ship that could be a capital ship, and in this case I mean any ship larger than a fighter, just couldn't move fast enough. Even in the 21st century ships really cannot "dodge" incoming fire as modern targeting devices have made dodging in the traditional sense impossible. Most weapons that would be used against a ship today are mis

I don't have Sins yet but I have played GalCiv2 into the ground. Also I'm a great fan of US naval history so when naming my ships I tend to stick with US naval names so basically states, cities, people, and occasionally famous battles. However I always translate it world wide when in space so states = countries, cities = capitols, people = Great leaders, generals, inventors, philosophers, and famous battles just gets a much longer list.

5. is a little true. They are considering adding a slower and faster option. However I would have to agree with the "no" crowd as it does go against the very nature of the game. Not only that I don't think you can really reference any other game because traditional RTS games are much smaller in scale, the largest only encompassing the planet Earth, which is miniature compared to a solar system and even smaller when compared to more than one. On the other hand you have traditional 4x gam

I'm just curious as I'm coming from GalCiv2 and used to AI that is more than capable of beating the crap out of people. I'm not much of a multiplayer fan and never have been so I'm hoping the AI is fairly challenging. Now I just have to wait a month for a demo to see if Sins will work on my PC.... the waiting is the worst part.
