i went cap heavy, but not full cap vs ai. i love the TEC colony cap, the ion bolt is awesome for stunning enemy capitals as they try to run away. Since the AI is huge on retreating, picking off their capitals as they run away is alot easier than trying to take out frigates/cruisers. i have my first lan game coming up in a bit, itd be great to know if anybody has had success with an all-cap fleet in mp games?

the funniest thing about the TEC superweapon is that it's bugged. It's only supposed to target planets in system, but if you turn it on auto it targets planets in ALL systems. Theres a few threads in here about the royal PITA of colonizing a far off planet only to have it hit by a few of your own novalith rounds fired an hour ago. In my huge game vs the AI right now i have around 50 systems, probably around 30 with novalith cannons built on them. My ally and i have all the planets in on
so is there any point in having more than one broadcast centre? i'm at a point where i don't need any more income (have like 900K credits)
I just finished a huge map with 4 medium opponents, and I really don't understand how people had such a problem with diplomacy. I guess if you never researched the diplomacy techs it would be alot more difficult, but if you research those to full (doesn't take that much resources) you get 32% for completing a mission, and only -8% for failing one. i chose the AI living in my home system to be my ally, and just pandered to every mission he gave me.
