also noticed that another fence changed size twice. same issue. trying the setting to "remember fence size per resolution" (the fence changing size was easily noticed as it reduced from 4 icons per row to 3 icons per row
hi, I'm not sure of the trigger or culprit but frequently enough one rolled up fence which is at the bottom right next windows taskbar (always the same fence) will change its rolling "side" I recently tried to fix it by using "lock fences" but it still bugged out. What happens exactly : -at start I setup the fence to have its titlebar right next to the windows taskbar & it develops upward -after it bugged out, the
hi, what's in the title. I use the mouse & middle click or alt & mouse movement mainly to switch between desktop pages So far I can say I don't use them much because it's such a huge movement required and I have a pretty high DPI mouse (G500 , 1800 or 2200 DPI on a 1680x1050 screen) I'm not sure it seems like it requires about a third of the screen as movement for the switch to complete ? I dunno about you guyz but I like minimal movements
Hi, I make extensive use of the wallpaper cycling integrated in windows 7 I see that fences snapshots seem to store my wallpapers ???? does restoring a snapshot also restores the wallpaper ? if yes that's not wanted over here.
yeah that's what I noticed. would be nice it you could stack them in a way
hi, so I'm trying out fences, been a long time I've been searching for something to organize my desktop been using objectdock free for a little while but it's just not enough, I have a lot of games and there's also the huge issue that objectdock requires manual setup of each steam link & icon. Overall it seems Fences is more what I need. I'm still wondering how to categorize game genres however... Anyway... I was wondering can you sort of "stack
So I've been using objectdock free as a mean to have my preferred games right under my hand. Steam is nice & all, but I'm not fond of opening the whole interface just to click on a shortcut of a game. So what I do is create shortcuts on the desktop from steam (which I then move to a subfolder). Afterward I will drag & drop the shortcut from the folder to the dock created by objectdock and BAM I get the wrong icon (always a blue & green world globe) which then
when playing Galciv 2, unless you wanted to micromanage all your spaceships you would quickly stumble upon an issue all your miners would head toward the same area for mining (all accross the map if needs be) your surveyors would tend to head toward the same area, same with scouts resulting in lots of wasted time travelling all accross the map (of course problem is exaggerated by larger maps) one suggestion, instead of completely automating a ship
stacking hyperion shrinkers is an exploit and should be stopped once and for good in galciv 3 I hope all unique per civ building such as capitals & such when you capture another world with one, you should have the choice to keep it (and destroy your other one) or to destroy it (which should be available for super projects you have not built and don't want there). it's like saying: ho hey technically we can't have multiples of this building because it on
I really hope modders of galciv 3 will start hosting @ nexusmods.com website it's so much better than the library of galciv 2 with a host of great features for modders & users.
About the planetary scale, does it really matter ? if we were still a feudal society and if intergalactic, it wouldn't be far fetched to sell & buy planets as a whole (perhaps not EARTH and the like though) imho, this problem about AI selling himself off is of 2 scales : - 1 the AI that is 10x inferior to you : no issue here, if he's that far below you could probably win all other kinds of victories - 2 the AI that is at your level, barely inferior
Hi, please do test your largest maps & the save function thoroughly. for each update. I only played the largest maps because for me it's all about building a galactic empire spanning over dozens of planets, I would not be satisfied by owning 5 planets. so ... why am I saying that ? because galciv2 had several savegame related bugs over the course of its life ( after release ) -the additional movement bug upon loading a savegame (l
well I'm sorry, perhaps I'm not right but I don't agree. in my experience the AI settled cities right beside lots of monsters (about 5 in 2 movement range) including insane ones and as soon as I took the city, it took all in all about 3 turns for it to be razed. (couldn't clear those monsters, too high level) that's what I saw with my very own eyes, I can't talk about the rest
So, as the title says, one can save a map with "cheats" (which is great) however I can't open it with the included TA map editor, the application actually crashes when trying to open it any idea ? thanks.
I'm not entirely sure my opinion is welcome but regardless I'll still give my input as far as I know it was quite usual to give(sell/buy/trade/exchange) away territory through history, marriage for example was such a condition where territory would change hands.... (of course not for peasants :p) In my humble opinion you guyz are being influenced by the general fact that nowadays in our western civilizations/ideology, we don't sell people & territory anym
anyone still have a backup of this somewhere and could upload it ? I used to have these stored somewhere but lost a hard drive
ok this thread is freaking old but I never saw the last replies so I'll reply now because I don't like leaving potential false information in a thread of mine. there is no need for any 3GB variables on X64 systems If you read all the documentation you would understand why a 32 bit system can only allocate up to 2GB to a single process. a 32 bit system with 3GB variables can only allocate up to 3GB to a single process. A 64 bit system can allocate
I found out that world difficulty on anything above challenging makes the monsters ignore the AI players apparently https://forums.elementalgame.com/435380/page/1/
Thanks, it spawns a shard that's pretty much what I wanted to know :)
I'd like to know what is : "Cult Secret Scroll" . I searched for a while and I'm creating my own sovereign & faction, reading carefully your notes it mentions that I should choose 1 between all since I kinda wanted to make an archmage sovereign with all schools I don't really know which one to choose. Thanks.

ha ok I don't really understand the meaning of that "canons" word. Thanks.
This mod is so confusing. Despite reading the readme I still don't get what I'm supposed to download there is so many components, spread everywhere (FE nexusmods, here, FELH nexusmods ...) EDIT: after coming back to it for the upteenth time I figured that the links had tooltips omg ! So now I think I have a pretty good idea of what to get for my case. Still have a question though, keeping in mind I'm gonna get : the full package + bmb & cos addons do I need any of the
