Don't be a fool.
What about my post was foolish? Of course other people around the world believe in their silly myths superstitions too but the "Oh, Americans..." comment was specifically because this silly movie is American made and the the ID movement mostly is as well. Being an atheist yourself, other than the above I can only assume that you disagree with my tone.
No, I don't think you have. But I don't think we're going to have a resolution to our little argument here. You go ahead saying what you want, and I'll go ahead saying what I want. How about that?
You must admit though that this whole intelligent design garbage i
Oh, Americans...I wish you people would stop worshiping the evil death god of the Bible.*shrug* you're not contributing. Furthermore, you need more research. Come back when you've looked into it a bit more.
What do you suppose I should research? If you mean the Christian death god, then I already have. I'm still shocked how much religion deludes people, be it Scientology, Mormonism, Christianity, Islam or what have you.
I checked my active processes. Bingo! Sins was using well over a gig of RAM, more than half of my CPU cycles, and I'd somehow accumulated a 1.5GB pagefile beyond my 2GB of memory. For the devs, I still have that autosave if it'd be useful.
It sounds like you have a dual core CPU like me in which case Sins is actually using 100% of one of the cores, which is the reason for the massive slowdown. Try this Advent vs Advent save game file that was posted in another thread to see for yourself: http://files.filefront.com/here+they+comesave/;9996051;/fileinfo.html
This actually happens to me with Advent vs TEC too so I don't think it has to do with Advent vs Advent specifically but it wouldn't help things of course. You could be right about the problem having to do with the AOE calculations. I'll try some things out and see if it really is a problem with the AOE ships.
I was going to post about the freeezing issue as well before I saw this thread. Even though I play Advent, I didn't notice that it is specific to Advent fleets. I'll play a game just with TEC and see if the same thing happens.
