out of curioustiy, i've wondered about Fleet positioning and formations. Has anyone ever looked into how a mod could be built to provide say 5 different formations? Marco

I was seeing that Rebellion is not loaded within the "Stardock" folder but in its own area on the HD. Yet the same file structure seems to be different. is Rebellion using the map files off of the Basic Sins, or its own? when will the Forge tools allow you to build for "Rebellion" too? Marco

I've downloaded a few maps that have been made. but here's my problem. i can find them in the basic Sins, but when I switch to entrenchment, I cannot see the same maps. I've gone so far as to place the same maps in both versions. How do i get the maps to work in either game? Marco

was not able to locate this line "maxNumCommandPoints" yet. i'm assuming that i should look directly at at the specific ship files and not the research ones. Marco

Has anyone thought about a mod where as you "research" your weapons, engines, armor, to have a ship design mod where you can build a ship from the ground up within the game? have various hull shapes, armor levels, weapon pods, shields.... so you put your ideas into a ship design/class...spend the time and money in research and construction then go off and see what it can do! thanks, been fun doing a "fix" then run the game to see if it works.... to bad i dont have all the tools for graphics. would like to know the difference between the various file types. ie; ablitiy, buff, etc.... marco

i've changed command points, but the only one that i've seen affected was on the hangers, not the carriers. will look again. marco

OK, NEW QUESTION: gameplay.constant file editing. how do you save this file so it works after editing? so far, either nothing happens or the game blows up. the Sins Data Converter doesnt see the file. Marco

having a problem, i've used notepad in XP and notepad++ in windows 7. when I open a .entity file to look at it I am getting this. BIN and a bunch of garbage. what am i doing wrong or need to correct? Marco

OK, I finally re-established my software on the rebuild. I downloaded several Mods and attempted to use. However when I selected a Mod to load the software crashed. So the question is, how to stop the crashing and whats the correct way to load the Mods? also interesed in learning how to do Mods on ship designs, any links would be nice Marco
