Great to know a startrek mod in progress. I would'nt mind helping out. Would love to have a crack at makeing a massively huge map :d Would be willing offer my time in beta testing when the time comes. Would also possibley (time permiting) be willing to help with some of the stat modding/balanceing and stuff but with the exception of the map editor I havent got round to haveing a good look at the modding tools yet (though I know its not a priority yet on this project). <b
crazyewok
I would also like to find out how to modify the pop limit as the large maps are almost umplayable :(
Dont know if any one played startrek amarda a 1 & 2? But the way they handled crew and troops was simple and incredabley in depth and allowed things like the capture of ships ect. Bascaly every ship starbase and planet was given a crew value. When sheilds ob a ship were droped troops could then be tranferd to a enemy ship. The enmey ships crew would then drop depending on th attackers/ defenders ratio and onece the enmy crew reached zero you would control the ship. Also damage to the ship would
I find the lack of ship-scaling to be a massive oversight on the part of the developers. It was the primary reason I stopped playing Hegemonia a few years back. Games just turn into stalemates... it can suck :/ My recommendation is to add an option into the game-type. Fleet Support Low, Medium, High, Extreme!
Another brillaint idea! Again this option would in no way hurt those with older computers, so everbodys happy! :)
I think this game is awsome but i would like that the return the ability to increate the fleet supplies by colonazing and upgrading planets, so is a player is playing lets say in a galaxy with 10000 planets he would have sufficient ships to defended his planets and sufficient fleets to attack. Also it would be awsome is they removed the capship, cap because only 16 in a 10000 planet galaxy is imposible, also only having 200 frigates when playing in 10000 planets galaxy is imposible to def
I play a lot of rts and this game just takes too long. Games should last at 2 hours at most not just starting the big battles at 2 hours. The should have trhe resoucres double thier exctractiopn rate. It would spped it up. i just took 6 hours to finish a game. that is to fucking long!
A prime example of why games released these days suck. Everyone expects all RTS to follow exactly the same rules and any deviation is seen by RTS click fest junkies as the crime of all crim
That the first thing on the modding list for me I think :P Perfect game though other than that. Double the fleet size should suit me.
With any luck it noon as that will put its realease at 5 pm in the uk.
I would like to know what time roughly it gonning be realsed for download. As being in the UK I would hate to have to wait till tuesday!!! :)
Think we have aa idea for a future patch here. :)
It would cetianly be a cool idea for a mod if possible. Not sure if the game could be modded that far though...
I'm from the UK and would be intrested in a game at a resonable hour lol
Also I take it the option of being able to make custom maps like in beta 2 will return in full release? Yes, we temporarily took this out to isolate testing on the scenarios. Thought as much Though just double checking incase one of my favorite features was removed.
I also agree that game speed should be selectable. Although I understand why people are unhappey about the speed, I for one enjoy the slow pace and enjoy long drawn out lan games with my freinds. If you make it selectable then you can please everyone, those that want fast paced games and those that are into slow paced games. dont just force everyone into one type of playing style when you can eaisly accommodate both. Also I take it the option of being able to make custom maps
but perhaps we should disallow modifying the recommendations so players can't create what we know will likely be a monotonous, dragged out game. No. Thank. You. Provide a warning if they try, thats reasonable, but don't lock me into it, please! I second this 100%.
Hi just downloaded the beta and here are my thoughts so far. First I’m impressed how extremely stable this game is considering this is still in beta. I have fully released games that are less stables then this. Iv played this game so far for 6 hours 5 or them straight and hasn’t encountered any noticeable bugs or crashes. Performance so far is brilliant. I have a relatively modest laptop. 2.8 GHZ Intel 4 Processor, 1 GB of RAM, 128MB Radeon 9700 and the game runs smoothly on h
