So I thought to myself, "I know! I'll update Sins of a Solar Empire to whatever patch they've created." I couldn't find the update, so I cruised around the forums looking for clues. I get the feeling that if you don't have the game installed on the computer using the internet, you can't get the update. Question: Is there a way to retrieve the update, move the update to my computer that doesn't use the internet, and install the update?
Trying to make sense of this thread... So there's a guy saying that Z-movement doesn't really exist, and there's a bunch of people saying that it really does exist. Hmm... I guess I'll just have to buy the game in a few weeks and find out for myself.
The only real-time 4X game I ever played and heard of was Pax Imperia way back in 1994 and 1997. I always wondered why no one had tried to make a real-time 4X game, and I am excited to hear that someone is finally doing it. To answer the original question, I definitely prefer real-time 4X over turn based strategy.
