Love the review :) Stupid question: Why is there a 20% difference between Stardock download not even a box at $49,99 and those three other stores (box) at arround $39 ? Not talking about pennies but 20% seems rather large.

Lol there is one thing I really hate about stardock. And thats their download speed. At best I get 140k from them. That was cool 5 years ago but in this age rofl. So prepare for a looooooong download. I dont have a crappy connection 1.2 MB download. Ok the rest about Stardock owns and is really good (To make up for the one thing I hate hehehe)

Well your entitled to your opinion but I am glad they didnt go for a campaign and put everything into skirmish / multiplay. What good is a heavily scripted campaign. and then have rubbish skirmish so no replay value.

U sure mate cause that page also states: Sins of a Solar Empire (Digital Download Preorder) is currently available as Pre-Order only. With token purchases, your tokens will be immediately deducted but the product will not be available until it is officially released.
I like to create a mix of AI levels and AI personalities when there are multiple in a game. You are right, a hard AI may get to the weaker one before you do, but the race can be half the run! And if you're not one for speed, set some of your AI to 'hard' and 'defensive' and see how well you break his wall <IMG id=ImageResize_Image_19 src="http://images.stardock.com/smiles/Smile.gif" onload=ImageResizer.createOn(this); align=absMiddle border=0 tr

Schod ur my hero. You are the prime example why people rather play the AI then egos like you. In a 1 v 3 (team hard AI) on a large map you WILL NOT be able to win with 3 clicks a minute. Sure the beginning you wont click much but once the AI get their stuff together lol you need to click rather much to keep your empire together and expand.

AI small maps suck. AI large maps does a lot better especially when you play them 1 v 3(team) and they get some time to build up. I can see where the writer calls it nice AI. OMG do you guys remember the stock Supreme Commander AI ?? Sins beta one beats that with a mile. Now GIMME GAME!!!! :)
this game has got nothing to do with uber-clickers. I believe my click count is ~8-25 at any given minute, and I'm just fine thank-you. its based on strategy and resource allocation, not clickspeed.
8? That made me smile. Playing 1v3 hard ai's I can assure you 8 would get you beaten. It pays off to micro your fleets while engaged to some degree. Clickspeed isnt as big as some rts I played but i wouldnt count it out either.

Yes they run out but you can research a tech called orbital refinement which sends out large ships to the depleted resources to pick up whats left. Slower but that never stops.
I prefer cooperative play over competitive play. So multiplayer games consisting of me teamed with a friend or two versus a whole bunch of teamed AI on a nice steep difficulty setting would be my favorite choice. Playing alone (singleplayer) would be second, and playing against others would be last.
Hey you sound like me :) I recently played some beta 3 with a friend of mine coop and we really enjoyed it. For me coop is nr1. Singleplayer nr2 and oh dear
