BG was good for its time. Its not so good anymore. Same thing with Planescape Torment. Its sorta time to move on.
This is not true at all. I had only played PS:T for the first time last year, and was completely blown away by it. It's not a story that can age poorly, and because of the 2D sprites combined with the widescreen mod, I didn't even think about how old the game was (3D ages MUCH faster than 2D). Great sale, and I'm very tempted to get the Sins bundle, but I have a lot of backlog to get to so I'll probably wait for another deal to come up. The THQ pack at Steam is better though. Same price, but you also get Frontlines: Fuel of War, Full Spectrum Warrior + Ten Hammers, Metro 2033, Saint's Row 2, Dawn of War 2 + Chaos Rising. It does NOT include however, Supreme Commander.
impulse was running 15% off with a code last week i think. not that it stopped me from spending 20$ at valve. sorry stardock.
Too bad 15% is nothing compared to the massive 75-90% price reductions over at Steam. Amazing deals. I The THQ pack for $49.99 is a fantastic deal and includes Dawn of War I/II, Company of Heroes, Metro 2033, Red Faction 1/2/3, and a few more (The original DoW games alone cost more than $50 on both Impulse and Steam if bought separately, and Metro 2033 is $49.99 by itself on Steam). The Call of Duty pack for $29.99 is also a great deal,

TBS games I've been playing lately: X-Com: Easily the best game ever made IMHO. The turn based elements are just plain fun, plus the base management makes the game so much meatier, especially since it allows you to research and use the aliens' technologies against them. Civilization III: I haven't played 4 yet, but Civilization II is my #2 favourite game of all time. However I do enjoy Civ3 very much and it's hard to go back to II because I'm so used to III now.
