The black market now usually pays more than it used to for each 100 units of crystal or metal. I believe 200 is now the least you can get each time you sell. Vasari are generally able to get crystal and metal more easily than the other races, mostly due to their scouts being able to set up stand alone extractors. Vasari thus tend to benefit more from the higher black market sell prices.

I certainly have no problem letting a minority of skilled players who understand the game speak for me. I've seen some recordings from Astax, HuntingX and others and they have always improved my game. I'd certainly hope that anyone who demonstrates a high degree of understanding of the competitive aspects of the game would have their opinion weighted more heavily.
So far so good after downloading those new nvidia drivers. Gonna try some more games of sins and see how it holds up
But I must say, sorry you wrote all this up when it's essentially worthless with the patch lol
What? How is this info not useful still. Even if a few changes occur patch to patch, this is still an excellent resource (esp with the recordings) for new players or those that wondering how they might juice their game up a little.
Considering the time investment required to play a full game of Sins, I think it would be a great feature to be able to join a game in progress. Save games are great and they help, but if you are in a massive FFA or team game online with people you don't know, they aren't going to stop and reload a save just for you if you drop out due to a crash or internet issue.
Just a quick note that I got it all downloaded and installed and working great. Hang in there those still downloading!
Yeah
Well, think about it, THOUSANDS of pre-orders, plus the people ordering now..etc...and enough fast connections. *shrug*
Agreed, just that I was suprised to see the speed take such a huge hit midway though. I'd hate that if stardock and ironclad shelled out a bunch of money and didn't get the speeds they were promised from their leased lines. They need that money to buy energy drinks to make my next game :D
Seriosuly, this should be the fastest download experience you've ever had. It isn't. In fact, its far from it. I can handle 5 250 KB/s downloads form fileplanet at a time (I've never seen a server go past 250 KB/s on a single file, for some reason) so I'm (persumably) bottlenecked by the 10 megabit connection between my computer and the router, but... ./shrug
I was getting 800-1000kb/s
So...no one knows or can tell us : -What's the max number of ships once you have researched the highest ship cap limit? -How much upkeep you have to blow on having your fleet cap at the max research level? -Does the fleet upkeep spread evenly over the number of ships you actually have, or is it a constant drain based on the cap even if I have just 10 ships and my cap is 1000? (or whatever size). My own thinking is that I think its a good idea to make sure th
