After giving the matter some though, my assessment is fairly simple. In terms of damage output and tanking ability, the SB's feel about right, except the Transcencia which is... buggy and curiously underpowered considering it's listed damage output. I suspect it's weapons, particularly it's default Plasma Cannons, miss a hell of a lot. Range, for all starbases, seems to be a rather major issue - people have, thus far, proposed some rather ludicrous buffs to

Alright. Sorry bout the whitespace; I had to use a work around to get a screen shot and I'm not entirely up to par with the GiMP. In any case, as you can see, the laser batteries aren't active, despite the first upgrade being active. Worse, my earlier assumption that they were nevertheless firing was indeed a case of faulty memory. Or do you mean posting the actual screenshot?[/quote] Well, first - I can't find the damn screenshot I took. Secondly, it's just a visual bug. The Psintegret Blasters don't fire, even though the weapon ports show up; the lasers... well, my memory fa
The second upgrade (a set of laser batteries) do function. However, they have two issues, disegarding possible balance problems. The first is that they're tiny and hard to notice (they're a number of round nubs on the bottom pylon with a glowing light in the center.) The second is, at least in as far as I can tell, that the weapon upgrades load the graphics in reverse order, that is to say, when you build the laser batteries you get the graphics for the Psintigret Blasters,
