This is a function of stream. Steam will put things on sale periodically as part of the business agreement. There have been a few times where I bought something and it went on sale (or a bigger sale) the next day. Steam says all sales final. Deems the breaks. I am sure there will be a large sale for Easter/spring break. Usually at least on in summer and one in winter. I would think Stardock was serious when they said last chance for their sale. Steam they have no to little contro

I would like to throw my support for diplomacy being able to request attacking another faction (or making peace with another faction) as to break treaties with other factions, etc. I also support weapons scaling to size of the ship. Actually, I would like small, medium and large choices of each weapon, A large would not be able to fit on a tiny and would have a slower reload than a smaller weapon. Also large vessels could mount secondary smaller weapons to deal with small/tiny spam sh

I am thinking the whole thing doesn't make much sense. Lasers are a beam. The light disperses with distance. So beams should be more powerful the CLOSER the target is. The rate of fire should be slowed or tied to engine capacity for reloading. They will be accurate though. Kinetics should be the least accurate, but most powerful, agreed. However, this is space, there is no real drag as there is no air resistance. To me damage should be consistent (or closely anyway) at any

Ok, I give up. I use to go by "Blaze of Glory" but I can't seem to log on that way anymore and lost all my old account/karma. Please contact me with this account so I can reclaim my old one. Thanks
(4) I think the AI ideology is predetermined by race. They make their choices in an AI sort of way. [e digicons]:)[/e] (7) The influence calculation is confusing the percentage in the left column is supposed to tell you how close you are not how much more influence you need. If it says you need 10% that means you have 65% and are closer than 65% to victory, (if you see what I mean) <
Many good points, many of which, as you suggest, are very likely to be overhauled as the game is polished, etc. I will just make a few comments. A general comment is that many things in the game are too easy/too cheap/OP, but that is largely because testing the game mechanisms is easier. But the points are valid, nonetheless. Played a medium (or the next one up) map, loose clusters with all players, occasional everything as the Krynn. I realize this is beta, blah, blah. Just giving my feedback. 1) What is with the scoring system? Everyone I met was double my score or more without much to show for it. I suspect area of influence, even if it is dead space, counts for too much. Also ships seem to be valued in the scoring way too much. It should be based on colonies, population, manufacturing, re

Did you guys have open bar? I would like to think Adam was taking a Marco Rubio sip and not doing a line [e digicons]:D[/e] It was certainly entertaining. Custom factions look really cool in a will be better done later way. The "Brass Taxes" (27 minute 30 second mark) exchange was priceless though. [e digicons];P[/e] It reminds me of the old "Duck Soup" movie. <a href="https://video.search.yahoo.com/video/play;_ylt=A2KLqIKhnt5UJlQAs_z7w8QF;_ylu=X3oD

The Yor and the Drengin declared war on me. A few turns later, they and the Irridium vote me to chair the UP! WTH? The is with the new opt-in patch. Also, we don't designs obsolete automatically anymore? My screen if JAMMED with ships. I don't want to have to obsolete ship designs every time I research a new tech!

I loaded up a save from a week or so ago to keep plugging away. I noticed I after trading a bunch of techs for cash (too cheaply I might add) that I am now in the age of war even though it is only turn 45 and I don't have nearly probably 1/3 of the techs on the first age. Also, military invasion is available to me even though I still don't have the tech before it, military specialization.

I don't want to "cheat", what I want is an idea of what is out there. I like playing maps with low habitable planets. It drives me crazy that a stars close to me have zero information until I fly to it. So really what I am suggesting is. Based on sensors (or some other tech) stars in the FOG should have certain information 1) Star Type/Color 2) Based on range from my colonies at least, I should have an idea of planets that are greater than "X" size. Why wou

I agree Rotlung that it should be a last of the line tech. I think the idea is for those behind to have a chance to win, but really it means that is the fastest way for any faction to win. If someone is ahead, it makes it even easier. I had to disable it to I could get a quest victory by wiping everyone out but one faction with a city or two. Perhaps it can be scaled on the size of the map as to where it is on the tech tree? For example a small map with two factions it may be wh
