I depends how one uses the Sova, I always prefer to upgrade the missile turret deployment and have a line of Sova's on hold position, thus when the enemy ships charge they are going through the full strikecraft compliment striaght into the missiles and lasers of the carriers. A couple of the repair crusiers and other such support ships only serve to strengthen the position. But the main thing with a carrier heavy force is to remember to be ready with the retreat button, your strik

My 2 cents for the Starbase issue (yes I have used all three bases) and on Entrenchment in general. 1. Starbases should have flak, perhapes a gun or two per structure upgrade. 2. Advent and TEC bases should have better strikecraft upgrades as that is one of their most potent combat abilities system wide. (perhapes 3 squadrons per upgrade) 3. TEC and maybe Advent should get higher levels of trade upgrades reflecting that they are taking advantage of existing populations

If they made the torpedoes count as a suicide fighter (strike craft) then anti fighter weapons would be able to shoot it down, along with other fighters (Wing Commander style) That way too one would have to prepare a torpedo strike, and just after phasing in would be the most leathal period for a torpedo boat force, as they would be launching off a cloud of prebuilt torps rather than one or two at a time. Just some thoughts.

Um... I'm not sure if any of you realise this but, when the US first test the A-Bomb the physisits working on the project at the time theorised that it could potentially cause a chain reaction and ignite the entire Earth's atmosphere. However they did the test anyway.

It'll sell a fair amount, sadly probably more and faster than Sins has. This is mainly because most average users don't know about the DRM(that is changing a little with increased gamer vocality). I have spoken to some who have bought the game, and they did not know about the DRM, and the people working at the stores they purchased it at did not tell them about it.

With their culture research the Advent get higher Shield Mitigation levels, which means your ships don't take as much damage. The Vasari get higher damage outputs and the TEC regenerate antimatter faster.

I ran into a similar problem when I was getting my 'Fear of Icebergs' medal. My remedy, Carrier Crusiers(and this was pre-beta). Mix in some Carriers to cover the slower Heavy Cruisers. Having a few of the Heavy Cruisers out of fleet formation can also cut down on how many get caught up in the blast.

Bungie did not 'copy' Blizzard, its simply the standard three race formula: Balanced(usually the player race)-Terran/Humans Quality-Protoss/Covenant Quantity-Zerg/Flood They are simply using the same formula that many other games have used or will use. As for the Ancients Xel'Naga/Forerunners, sorry but that is a common element of a lot of SciFi/Fantasy and is used as a cheap way of bringing in tech higher than the creators of the universe want to be the norm.

As TEC I tend to do city names, (Lexington, London, Luxembourg etc) or Wing Commander names (often the same as city names with the addition of the Tiger's Claw and a few mythos based names). When I play as the Advent I usually use the 7 Sins plus some virtues (Charity) For the Vassari I havn't really built a system of names yet (and since I usually play as them that shows how often I name ships).
