Very glad you guys won. You should win. What Rebellion Studios is doing is very sad and wrong. Before you posted this, I had never even heard of them. No one in their right mind would think that you were somehow trying to get people to buy your game by using the word "Rebellion" in the name of your game. You named your game the way you did b/c of the lore associated with SOASE. I hope they have to pay your court costs.

Yes I figured it out...my laptop computer was full of dust. I used a can of air on it and sprayed it all out and after that it worked fine. I had no idea that dust could interfere so much.
1. I can see that there are 20 games currently started, but I can’t see what those game’s names are nor who (or how many players) are in those games. I want to be able to see this info. Seeing how long it’s been going on would also be nice. If I could see that there is a 5v5 that has been going on for about 1 hour, I can figure it will likely be over soon and can wait for a follow on game. 2. When I make a game, I can only
Tonight, both of the games I was playing disconnected about half way through, the game out of no where tells me I have been disconnected from Ironclad, it briefly goes to another screen where I can see a titan and the message, and then the game just exits, but I don't get a mini dump error or anything, it just shuts down. This is the first time I have experienced this, but its annoying. I only play one or 2 days/week, but when both my games disconnect me, it&#
SOASE: R was working fine on my system, until I took it off of my laptop for about a month and then reinstalled it a few days ago. Since the reinstall, when I play SOASE, my computer no longer ramps up to the higher clock speed, but instead ramps down and remains at a lower clock speed than what my actual processor is clocked at. So, here are my Laptop stats: Intel Core i7 720QM 1.60 GHZ (with turbo boost to 2.8 GHZ). Graphics:
I agree generally speaking with the original host. The multiplayer UI needs improvement. This game could have so many more people playing online, but I believe it's the user interface that stops a lot of people because it is not that good. I would love to have played the civilization games online, but they too had horrible user interfaces that made it hard to connect with other people hence I never played multiplayer. Sins is better than the older
Ironclad, just wanted to say great job on Rebellion. I am enjoying it very much. Thanks for all the hard work you guys put into making this game. Cheers.
An idea for a future sequel or expansion and possibly for modders: Allow ships to be built from the factories that use tactical slots instead of fleet supply that don't have the ability to leave the grav well. These ships are planetary defense ships that have had their jump engines removed and in their place, they have more weapons and/or armor. A planetary defense capital ship could perhaps cost 8 tactical slots.
I agree. Corvettes should have their own button on the main interface as well.
Was thinking, what if you could build a defense device that, on demand, could reduce the size of your planetary grav well? Implications for planets would be that they would be easier to defend because of the reduced grave well size thus forcing fleets to have to engage at least some of the defenses vice run in circles around them. I am undecided if it should be a limited time effect, or it should remain in effect for the duration of it being turne
A lot of people talk about how much the advent eco sucks relative to the others...how about this as a way to make it better: Neutral asteroids auto default to Advent control without needing a colony ship when they are inside of Advent culture. Also, enemy races are not allowed to take them back so long as the culture is there. If Advent culture overcomes an ally controlled neutral asteroid, it doesn't change hands, but enemy races are no
Problem/annoyance/issue+possible solution: Stupid scouting AI behavior: I put my scouts on auto explore...eventually they all die b/c they keep going through the pirate base...after the pirate base has been explored, scouts shouldnt fly through it... 1. Solution: Give us different AI scouting options...include an avoid pirate base option. Another thing that scouts do that I
What do you do in this situation to survive and not get killed: 5v5 Huge random single star map, You are Advent, you are 2 jumps away from 2x TECs on either side. One is spamming LRMs and going right after you. What do you do? I tried to get Illum, but he had too many LRMs for me to over come and I didn't have the resources or the ability to build them fast enough to overcome him. So I built a SB and sat and kept building shi
different music would be nice. I actually get tired of hearing the Sins music after a very long game and I kill it in favor of no music or MP3s in the background. I would rather them focus on making the game play better though than improving the music.
Yes to adding at least 1 type of new planet to the game.
That would make the game more like Homeworld 1 & 2 only at the operational and strategic level as opposed to only at the tactical level. If you have not played those games, check them out, they are pretty good. I am not opposed to make it so that if you lose all of your planets, your government can move to the Titan. Perhaps that could be a special upgrade for it.
Like what the others said. If you want to play the game now, buy it. If you can wait and don't want to play it now, then don't buy it. If you want to buy it now but are having a hard time deciding if you should or not, let me give you something to think about if you have not already: If you buy the game now, and you play it say, 6 hours/week (which is not a lot) you will get more than 200 hours worth of entertainment value befo
Thank you. I was able to update diplo to 1.2 using the files from this site.
Is it possible to download the Trinity v1.2 update in an .exe file?
Valid points. Thanks for the feedback.
Thanks for the candid feed back. You both make very valid points. I will also cease saying "refresh" in the context in which I was using it. On Davin's idea of of gunships, I really like that idea as well.
That would probably be a good thing. I have tried countering large amounts of bombers with large amounts of fighters, but it wasn't that effective (last time I tried it a long time ago...). What if fighters/bombers had some special abilities/weapons that were limited in shots and couldn't be refreshed till they landed and reloaded?
I am curious as to peoples thoughts on whether or not it should cost resources to build/refresh strike craft squadrons.
Should there be more strike craft variety in the game? I think it might be fun. Here are some quick ideas and things one could do: Fighters- standard general purpose, could be divided into light/med/heavy... Bombers-standard, could be divided into light/med/heavy...could have limited shots Fighter/bomber-cross between the 2 Stealth fighters-only visible right before, during, and after firing unless you have the corr
Massive amounts of bombers seem to be a very viable strategy when playing online. They also allow you to snipe even the best capital ship pretty quickly, which kind of stinks... What about making it so that bombers had a limited number of shots they could fire before they had to return to the carrier to reload? To compensate for them having to do this, perhaps their bombs could be more powerfull given that afterwards they will have to go land and then wait a
