Information Update Today I used the Defrag program mentioned in an earlier post. And used Registry Mechanic to fix/optimize my registry. After doing this I logged in to Ironclad online. I proceeded to join games. But this time instead of minidumping I was able to play for about 10-15 mins and then everyone in the game would crash/minidump. But I would not. This is not the same behavior as before. As before I would crash/minidump. I do not know if before
Just loaded up the game to check Bloom and it is off by default. It was never on.
What the crap!??! where's my freaking sentence structure ._.This is litterally an unreadable wall of text as it is :/
Mr. Gorbachev tear down this wall, tear it down ... Reagan Smash Reagan Smash!
Actually a lot of my friends ahve been getting tons of minidumps since 1.03. I haven't, though. Many of my friends have too, and the 'disable bloom' fix has worked for them. Give it a try - they never had crashes pre v1.03, so I'm not sure what changed.
I have had crashes in all versions of the game. Only in MP. It happens the exact same way every time. But, i will try bloom. I doubt that it would only affect MP and not SP modes though.
Since i bought Mac my Windows experience became better - sounds confusing!?!?! Sure it does but i will try and explain As you know latest Macs are running on latest Intels and as such they can run natively both OSz - Mac OS X as well as XP / Vista... So what i have done is following... All my work files, applications, media stuff etc... Everything! Is based and rather comfortable on my OS X Games are based on my Windows partition which is entirely clean
I'll give it a shot. I doubt that it has anything to do with MEM. If I can play every game on my computer and play Sins in single player with no problems I highly doubt that only in MP and only in SINS would i get a crash because of MEM.
email: (I think)System specs,Attach Dxdiag report and minidumps..OS details, etc etcIs probably best thing to do since it's most likely a game problem.we had lockup's in 1.02 in MP (after playing for a while), but haven't tried 1.03 yet.
i have, it has yet to get anything done
Did you install any mods?
no
Actually a lot of my friends ahve been getting tons of minidumps since 1.03. I haven't, though.
1.0 1.02 1.03, it hasnt matterd its been there day one for me
something is wrong with your computer.
indeed? cause you are here and im not so you would know?
Edix, could you give your system specs and make sure there's no background programs?
i have emailed support everything they need, no there are no programs runing
If you don't play MP just load a saved game and set autosave intervals shorter (if that is possible).
doesnt work
I'm still geting MP crash/Minidump 5-10 mins in to any MP game. This occurs on both LAN and online. I have yet to play this game multiplayer. v1.03 minidump uploaded to old issue to go along with 1.0 and 1.02 minidumps. Hope you fix it ... soon. Seriously.
the pdf is in the directory where you installed the game
About 50% of the posts in this thread make me wish spell check was mandatory for the interwebs. Funny/Sad that the Euros posting on these boards have better English skills than the average 17 year old American kid.
Only when the average Euro, of any age, can defend there own F***ing country can they then talk trash about "American Kids."
Only thing I agree with is that ships can run past you, jump, and keep moving through your planets and never have to engage anything. And that Defensive buildings are weak and pointless. I also reject the idea that they are only ment to repel small invasions. Because they do not repel anything at all. Small or not!
huh yep. It sort of like old 4x games like moo2 that had no (and the word your looking for) campaign mode. What you did in 4x games was set up some parameters like how large the Galaxy was. How many opponents you would face. ETC So, yeah it has no campaign mode. What you do is play open ended, never the same twice, "scenarios." The game is kind of old school like that. :)
I used to play this game called Dark Reign 2. At the start of it all it was a pretty good RTS. Lots and lots of strats and such. I stopped playing after about a year. I loaded it up again some time later - it had diluted in to a sprawling game of crap .. not because the game changed .. it hadn't but people had started putting limitations on what you could and couldn't do you could only play on one of 3 maps people had made - with all resources in non contested areas (like middl
Did he use the exploit?
Nope your not alone. I "pirate" games to demo them as well. Unless I know someone who has the game then I just try it out at there place. If there is a demo I will download that and try it out. But the fact is that demos hardly ever come out before the game. So I rarely get to demo something when I would like to.
I have windows firewall enabled thats it. I have "allowed" Sins to pass the windows firewall. What else must I do seriously. When I start/host a game I get the "your behind a firewall people might not beable to join your game blah blahb lahb labhalbhalbh" no other game I own does that ... I think its a ligament complaint after reading that FAQ nothing there has stopped me from crashing in MP or helped people who cant join my games - join (which really doesn't matter cause if th
Word of Mouth. Really cant beat it. But I will tell you this. Fork out the money for a sort TV ad in North America. You wont regret it. I know its like bling bling in this industry to be able to do that but It will boots your sales.
Really would like to know if I, and many others, will get a fix for the constant Minidumps in MP games. I have yet to play this game MP because I always get a Minidump. (yes, I sent them to support) SP works its just boring. :(
This is really interesting, the Open letter form Michael pretty much show what happens when pirates do a bad job. Most people, when playing a bad pirate job, get a pore impression of the game. Thus, reducing its word of mouth. It could be said that "If they had no protection then the word of mouth of would of been better form the pirates." but who, in there right mind, could ask that? Intransigent arguments are always this. Do hard working, creative, people have a right to secu
