Greets, If you're playing against the AI, remember that they're expanding as well so you don't need to stop and fortify at two planets to survive. Get a couple of scouts auto-exploring first, then get your first (free) cap ship built. Once that's done you should have a good idea of your surroundings and the layout of the planets near you. All thats left to do review the layout of the planets, and make a beeline for those that are suitable to form your front line and begin to ma

Your first (and free) capital ship should deal with them without a problem.
you are so gentleman~O~"....thanks a lot....!!you want a hug or a kiss from me?..or...something else XD....
As this is a family friendly forum, I won't answer that ;p
arg you beat me to it as i was typing it lol BAh cant edit my previous post see lots of typos oh well.
More info in yours anyway ;) I wasn't sure about those techs especially.
Crikey mate :P I'll answer the ones I can.
1. what is the usage or the definition of "Divination", "Fore warning", "Acute Premonitions", "Upkeep", "allegiance", "culture spread rate", "mitigation", "culture rsistance"
Upkeep = the amount it costs to keep your fleet (rises as you research a higher fleet cap) Allegiance = How loyal your planet citizens are to you. If it hits 0, you lose the planet and it turns neutral. The higher it is, the more tax the po
I see it as one of three ways, one, I'm obsessing over nothing, and theres only a handful of people with problems. Two, theres only a handful of people with problems but I've became Biased and think there is alot of people with problems and there is cause for concern. Or three, it'll all turn out fine, and I'll be having 4X strategy goodness for months to come.
I think you answered your own question without realizing. If you like the look of it, grab it. Woo! Thanks for that. Thinking about it, it makes sense. Malice stacked would be rather powerful. You also bring up an interesting point about the shield restore. In a previous game I always ended up using Malice/Cleansing brilliance together to pretty good effect. I don't think I've ever actually tried shield restore properly. I will now :) Thanks again for the detailed information there, much appreciated - and that means I can actually play (or start) a proper game
I don't know off-hand, sorry, but ships show the effects they're currently under on their info cards, so it shouldn't be too hard to try it and see...
Cool, thanks. I could try it myself, but I don't have a save I could mess with. I don't get much time to play unfortunately, so I thought I'd ask instead so I can jump right in when I finally finish working. Appreciate the answer though :) Cheers, Mopy
Greets, Regarding the Progenitor - does the malice ability stack? So if I say, concentrate fire on a single hostile cap ship, hit it with malice x2 from two Progenitors at 25%, does the surrounding fleet take 50% or just a single 25? Cheers, Mopy
Greets, Check your research screen. The third button is fleet logistics. The top line of research increases your cap ship crews, and the bottom line increases fleet points /ship cap :) ::Edit - beaten.
Greets, You shouldn't have a major problem with that number of planets. Red is indeed negative, and green is positive as you rightly pointed out. For trade, check your research tree. You'll have to research the tech that allows you to build trading stations. Don't forget to build the population cap upgrades on each planet too. That should stop any negative income you're getting from them when you have a low number of planets close to your capital. (Click the planet, cl
Thanks man :) It's a start. I forgot about the battleship culture spread. That makes things even more interesting to work out as far as actual numbers go.
Greets, I finally got around to messing with Advent, and it seems there are a few little bits of the culture system I don't quite understand, so a couple of questions in that respect if I may; 1) How many culture points does a single culture spreading building from any of the races generate in its home system? This assuming it's alone, and there are no others anywhere within the empire. 2) I understand that culture spreads more slowly as it spreads to further systems.
Greets, Bought mine over here in the UK the same way through Stardock. - It is patchable yes. Unlike Steam, my experience is when a game gets patched, you actually get the patch right away rather than have to wait until a specific version is released for the download option (not sure if thats true with all games, but it seems to be with Sins and GalCiv 1&2. - You can download as many times as you like as far as I know. I've deleted and re-installed from Stardock Central a
Great news, and grats. Are saved games compatible? ::Edit - nevermind, found the answer in the notes thread :)
