Heres a few more designs. Fortress Class Destroyer . One of my older designs which until recently was mothballed. However last night the Drengin smashed through the frontier and I needed a ship that could take a beating. <img src="http://im

You realize that this idea has been around in science fiction stories for decades, especially in reference to renewable food souces on starships (Note: clever GalCiv tie-in) Dontcha mean 'dehydronated food stuff in the form of a pill'? I recall watching the Jetsons as a kid and getting very excited over that!

change the Sn_ prefix on the shipcfg file to S99_ Hi I'm probably being really obtuse here, but what do you mean by change the prefix? I've tried changing the files name from S0 to S99 and haven't had any luck. Cheers.

Hello! I've recently bought a copy of Dark Avatar, and I was curious, is it possible to transfer custom ships from Dreadlords to Dark Avatar? I have designed a few good looking ships (not in the same league as some other members custom ships, but I like them) and I dont have the patience to redesign them in Dark Avatar! Cheers for any assistance! And Sorry if this question has already been asked on a different post, couldn't find anything that would help!

I have to say, this is quite intriguing reading up how other members name their vessels. And here I thought I was a tad anal I always play as the Terrans rather than the xeno-scum, and being British I usually use the prefix of HMS. My naming technique breaks down into the following categories: Explorers. Which are named after historical explorers such as Shackleton, Livington Lewis and Clarke etc

You can only add one construction module to your ships. However, I would recommend downloading Kyros Hull Mod, it'll give you a huge range of dummy modules and fake hulls, so you can build even better ships...which is always good! Have fun with the game!

Thats happening on my current game. Find it quite funny, as the Iconians (my current enemy in the game) remind me of the former Iraqi Information Minister, Mohammed Saeed al-Sahaf (aka as 'Baghdad Bob')I'm just waiting for the immortal line 'are going to surrender or be burned in their starships. They will surrender, it is they who will surrender' Or...as my fleets approach New Icos 'Everything is fine' What a hoot! <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Laugh.gif" b

Wow! Dark Avatar looks cool seriously going to buy it. Just got a couple of questions thought. It says you can download the game with the option of getting a copy of the game on CD sent out to you. Does that include to the United Kingdom? Secondly. Will the custom ships designed in Galciv 2, be transfered on to Dark Avatar...as I've spent ages designing em, and whilst their not as shiny as other peoples, I've grown attached and would hate to lose em as sad as that sounds! Thank

Cool idea there mate, something like the cardassian 'dreadnought' from Star Trek Voyager? Now theres a thought, the dreadnought had AI capabilities, imagine hooking up some advanced sensors to it...would make a great hunter-killer all you'd need to do is set its mission parameters to search and then attack.

Yeah, similar thing happened with me. Yor scammed me out of a shed load of credits for photon torpedo Mark 3. So in return I wasted their planets and took the tech by force. They tried the whole 'United Planets peace route' but I refused....You have to be hard on con artists you see
